The rooms were clean and comfortable.

One of the units had a steep stair case.

The location. It's very close to the Castle and Kenroku-en Garden. There's a beautiful park near there for strolling in the morning, which is also a shortcut to Omicho Market. The guesthouse provides all necessary pots and pants for us to cook our little meals, which we bought from the fresh fish market. Perfect!

The stairs to the room is too steep for elderly guest or mobility challenged guest.

Good location for easy walking to attractions (Kanazawa Castle, Castle Gardens, Higashi Chaya District). Omicho Market is also easily walkable (fifteen to twenty minutes). The property is in a small quiet street, and we did not hear much noise from adjoining apartments so a good night’s sleep was guaranteed. The kitchen was compact but well stocked with utensils and appliances, ensuring self-catering was possible when we wanted “home” cooked meals. The traditional tatami mat seating area combined with the sliding window screens (with roller blinds behind to block light in the morning), created a lovely visual welcoming environment. Check-in was easy and we appreciated a member of staff being present to answer any questions. Would we book again? Yes, if alternative seating/table options were also available.

We tried a property with a traditional sitting/eating area. After the second day of a seven day stay, the lack of alternative seating (western) options impacted on our ability to be relaxed/comfortable. A learning experience for us, and worth keeping in mind to ask about the possibility of alternative seating when making future accommodation bookings!!!

The cleanliness and attention to detail exhibited by the staff. The place was very well insulated even though we had loud roadworks happening nearby.

Layout is a little awkward with bathroom and laundry downstairs. With little children you need to be wary of the stairs.

The room was beautiful! Plenty of space for the three of us. There were some extras provided like umbrellas and slippers, and the aircon worked very well. Amazing facilities (e.g., washer, shower/bathroom). Was also a handy booklet inside with great local restaurants, facts about Kanazawa, and information for a "Museum Passport" which we took full advantage of. Walking distance from food, museums, and Kanaza Castle. I will definitely recommend this place for anyone who comes to Kanazawa, and will try stay here again when I return.

Maybe one more chair at the table (there were two). Everything else was lovely.
