West End Guest House

It was a lovely clean B&B plus the bed was very comfortable and the gentleman was very nice and made you feel welcome.

The thing that let this B&B down for us was that they didnt do a full English breakfast. It wasnt stated very clearly on the details. Would certainly be back if they where to start doing this.

Lovey detached cottage

This is a truly delightful guest house set slightly back from the road and so beautifully quiet. Our host, Emma, said she runs the guesthouse as a sideline but I have to say that the facilities, service and welcome were better than many ‘full time’ guests house and small hotels I’ve stayed in. The rooms are tastefully furnished, the bed was very comfortable and the continental breakfast was generous and included gluten-free options for my wife and good decaf coffee for me. We were in Richmond for a funeral, and only staying one night, but I would have happily stayed longer and used this lovely guest house as a base to explore Swaledale. This is one of those rare finds - full marks.

Everything was perfect

Mark & Emma were lovely hosts. The B&B was spotless, comfortable and cozy. Made our stay in Richmond most enjoyable.

Very friendly owners, the location is excellent, within a few minutes walk of the town centre and in a peaceful area. The breakfast was nice and the room was clean and comfortable.

I was a little concerned about the steps down into our room from the landing and from the bathroom. My wife is registered blind and I was worried she may fall.

Booked a twin room as my mother was with me. Room on the smaller side but comfortable. Steps up to the en-suite which made it a little difficult for my mother. Shower cubicle very small but adequate. Breakfast was continental with a wide choice of cereals, fruit salad, yoghurt and toast, hot cross buns or croissants. Owners very friendly and helpful. Plenty of private parking. Area close to the town.

Everything was just perfect, we would recommend this guest house, the owners were really great and the room was spot on
