Unisi Hotel Malioboro - Jogja Syariah

Location is so convenient as is just Infront of the train station, so perfect if you arriving late at night. Is so many places around to rent a motorbike. The room was lovely and clean. The staff very helpful and nice.

A bit expensive, you can get way cheaper rooms

the I rented was right behind restaurant and I can hear people eating. I stayed for 3 days and 2 rooms and I am asking to move my room so we get comfortable, but responding. very disappointed.

I couldn’t enjoy anything at this hotel as I spent my whole stay there searching for my luggage that the hotel staff gave (intentionally or unintentionally is still unclear) to another person. I only had 2 hours to sleep and still paid full price for my stay, with zero compensation for a nightmare they made me go through.

I left my luggage with a hotel luggage tag in the security room before check in. When I was back, the hotel kept saying me that they will bring the luggage to my room, but after several questions when it will be, they never brought it. This is how I found out that they didn’t have one of my bags anymore, it was my backpack that had my work laptop and and my documents that was missing. I had to stay hours looking at security cameras to see what happened. In the end I saw that they gave my backpack to another person, I don’t know if it was intentionally or unintentionally. It took many hours to find out everything and get my stuff back (the driver that supposedly had my backpack all day, returned it only after we called him). The hotel stuff was rude and unwilling to say what was going on most of the time, they were refusing to call the police for a long time. There was only one person who seemed to try to help more genuinely. I couldn’t work (I planned to work all day from this hotel) and got in trouble at work because of this. I still had to pay the full price of the hotel room, although I couldn’t use any of its services between looking at my stuff and going to the police station. At the police station the personal of the hotel were with me, and after I filed the report I saw how they were giving money to the policeman. When I asked why they did it, they said it was for coffee. Terrible experience, never went through something like this before.

Very slow wifi in the first room I was in but thankfully I was able to relocate and the problem was solved! :)

Location was excellent, close to train station, shops etc. Very easy check in/out. Comfortable bed.

The room smelled strange every day after cleaning. The room and bathroom were very small and hard to move around much in.
