Omah Nggunung Cafe & Homestay

This homestay was a con. It advertised a certain price on booking.com but when I got there, they tripled the price, stating they no longer deal with booking.com. I had the pay the new rate because I couldn’t find anywhere else. However, when I complained to booking.com about the extra charge, the homestay instantly said that my claim was false, as I was still sat in their accommodation. I had the receipt from how much I paid. I have no idea how they could dispute my claim. Everything they were trying to do was just get money out of me for everything. It was just uncomfortable. The worst thing was, when I left, I received an email from booking.com stating I hadn’t shown up for the reservation! A side note, the swimming pool in the picture doesn’t exist and neither does a shower in the bedroom. It was literally a bucket! No soap, no toilet paper. Nothing.

There was nothing to like about the place. Deceitful owners just trying to extort money at every opportunity. These were not nice people. Dishonest and only interested in money. They clearly do this all the time as a tactic to get more people interested in the property. Looking at other reviews, I see that somebody else has pretty much wrote the same thing as myself. There’s a pattern emerging. Maybe if the property was just honest, updated their facilities and advertised a correct price, they would get customers who write good reviews. Even one of the reviews that is positive still states they overcharged. I have added photos of what I should have been charged and then the receipt for what I was charged. I also added the email stating I had cancelled the booking and didn’t show up. Utter lies.
