African Kingdom Guest House

The guesthouse is close to the airport and our kids so it is easy to travel around and be where we need to be.

This is our second visit to the guest house for a netball tournament at EG Jansen. So to start off, the location is perfect. What really strikes me is the friendliness of the staff. They were always very welcoming and friendly.

The electric blanket.

I booked the double deluxe room, but they put me in the basic double. I asked Faith if it's the deluxe room, and she said yes, and by referring to the pics on the site, it wasn't, anyway. There's no dustbin, no microwave in the room. There wasn't hot water for basin & shower. This was horrible. Told Precious about it she said it was maybe because all the guests washed & used up all the hot water lolz. It's basically a commune. You run into Precious in the passage ways in a gown, left me wondering what's happening here. You have to go to the houses kitchen to get plates, glasses, spoons, extra coffee cups, and then you're responsible to wash them and place them back in the cupboards. For the kettle, you have to leave the room to get water to boil. What an inconvenience. I didn't like the establishment at all. The bed is hard and old. There were hairs on the floor, and you can clearly hear everyone else in the place when they talk even outside if you’re in room 5. I will never come back to this place. TV is outdated, playing SABC 1 and the likes omg. Had the worst experience. Definitely passable. Reception is cleaner than the room.
