Beautiful location!

Excellent hosts, lovely food, spotless room, great location couldn’t ask for more we loved it.

It was comfortable physically and visually. Fell asleep to the river gently flowing past my window and awoke to a wonderful breakfast and hot n strong coffee 👍 Will return since I live in Ireland.

Shower a bit tight but totally workable.

Ryan's River Lodge B&B is located in the heart of the small town of Cong, about 45 minutes outside of Galway. Ryan's provided everything we needed for our stay: Clean rooms and bathrooms, a good amount of space within the room to move around and stow luggage, a lovely view of the stream across the street, and a good breakfast in the morning. The staff were very helpful, and Martha (the proprietor) went out of her way to engage with us on our second day of our stay after she missed seeing us on the first day. The property is close to hiking trails; routes and guidebooks for inspiration are available at the lodge. Visitors can try horseback riding and other activities via the nearby castle. Cong is a good stopping point for checking out Galway and then launching to the Connemara area.

Though the appearance was a bit dated, the rooms were clean and all furniture and appliances in good working order. The rooms overlooking the stream are also facing the one-way street through Cong, which made it challenging to have windows open for air overnight because of trucks/cars that start up pretty early in the day. Finally, customers should be aware there are few dining options for lunch and dinner in Cong itself.

Charming town, beautiful setting, and comfortable guest house! We had a fantastic stay - highly recommend.
