Smith Rock Resort

This was the most clean place I've ever stayed. Was very quiet at night, bed was very comfortable.

Was disappointed that the pool closed so early.

The bungalows are a wonderful way to stay. Private, wonderful views and independent structure. Dated interior but expected and reasonable for the price.

Met staff for key pick up and drop only. They were VERY nice, 10/10. This will seem minor, but you’ll see it is kind of a lot. We were not traveling with dogs. Something(s) must have happened with dogs at the resort. You will get SEVERAL E-mails needing a response Re: dogs. “Are you bringing a dog?” Answer “No.”. Next E-mail, “Are you sure you’re not bringing a dog?” Answer: “Yes”. “Suuuper sure?” “Still yes.” New E-mail, “OK, if you DO bring a dog, there will be a fine.” When you arrive, your welcome packet has, “Hey, did you bring a dog? You’ll be fined!” “If you DID bring and announce your dog, pick up poops or you’ll be fined.” “ Close your door so animals can’t get in or you’ll be fined.” Basically, think of a wonderful structure, great neighbors, but you are under a very difficult HOA who can’t wait to fine you for any animals. A bunny was at our door so we ran in and barricaded ourselves so the bunny couldn’t get in and cost us $25.00/hr.

What a cool place! Very quiet, good area, we loved the drive out there.

We were hoping for a more relaxed pool situation. It was packed with kids. About 4 kids to every one adult. It was a lot.

Arrived after the office was closed. My key was taped to office door in envelop with my last name on it, same for 2 other guests. I love the setting. Wish I'd had more time to spend there. I had to leave early to go to the Sister's quilt show. Google helped me navigate back roads to the resort, as the sun was setting. Blissed out being in Central Oregon high desert.
