We had issues getting into the flat as we were given the wrong keys but once in the flat was fantastic really tastefully decorated and very quiet and comfortable

One minor thing. Instructions to get in were very complicated and it would be a good idea to have a jay cloth for wiping down the surfaces as requested when leaving.

Lovely stay. The apartment was clean, cosy and well located. We were a family of four and there was plenty around for the kids to do. The private parking was excellent and very secure.

Beautiful well equipped apartment. Only niggle was the beds are particularly small and unfortunately the noise from The Tall Ship pub on the Friday night was really loud until midnight which was really annoying.

Excellent location by the docks with a range of restaurants within a few minutes' walk. Modern apartment, looked the part, good amount of kitchenware, though we did not cook there. Allocated parking space in the gated car park under the building (yet at street level). Relatively easy to come and go during the stay, once we got the hang of the process and the automatic car park gate. Also good access on foot to the city centre and Cathedral. The apartment is on the second floor – a fair amount of stairs to carry heavy luggage up and down, and no lift. The clinical formality of the contract process outside of booking.com felt a bit like applying for a position in the City, along with pages of terms and conditions and instructions! This is because the apartment is managed by a local agency, and at one point I was almost needing to set up an account and password within their own website! What was really surprising was the requirement to upload a photograph. There was no face-to-face contact with anyone at the agency and entry to the premises was through a complex set of instructions involving a code at a gate, then another code for a keysafe by the parking space. As such, a photograph was not needed for live identification at any point.

Also, it's important to only use the mobile phone number given on booking.com which is for the Contact at the agency. Some of the documentation I received gave another number for one of the agency's offices which I used, only to find they are unable to help, provide any information or pass on messages. After booking, I had a list of five questions for the Contact at the agency. Although it took a few days to receive a reply, the answers were all clearly and thoroughly addressed in a friendly and helpful way. Although the contract states, "Leave the apartment in the state in which you found it", and another reviewer had said, "Cleaning products are provided", the company assuredly has its own cleaners and clients are not expected to clean before they depart! Inevitably, we moved furniture around to allow room for our suitcases etc. in the bedrooms, and I brought a dining chair into the 2nd bedroom which had no furniture but a bedside locker. Admittedly there was no room in it for a table, and there was limited floor space; though a built-in wardrobe allowed for storage of some clothes. The sitting room has a kitchen area at the rear. The view from the former, also from the 1st bedroom, is over a big carpark, with the canal/dock over to the left. It should be noted that bedroom 2 has a wall window positioned above head-height - you get a good view of the sky, and there is a pub with yard on that side with strains of music and hubbub of voices in the evenings, especially Fri and Sat. We noted that two ceiling light bulbs in the apartment hall did not work. The integrated dishwasher was a handy addition, but pulled its housing loose every time it was opened. Something had not been fitted correctly, and this rather spoilt the general modern and efficient feel of the place. The bathroom was especially attractively designed. The apartment was a good size for two guests.
