"Very poor value for money compared to other cottages in Burton Bradstock, cannot recommend."

4.0

House looks charming from the outside. Parking is easy.

Decoration very tired. Superficially clean but much dirt under rug in single room. Nowhere to hang clothes in two of the three bedrooms. Only 3 coat hangers for 3 bedrooms, but more delivered the following day upon request. Damp smell in kitchen and bathroom. Pillow liners smelly. Large double bed uncomfortable, others ok. No iron and ironing board. Location on main road and all bedrooms, sitting room and dining room are very noisy from ceaseless traffic.

"A tired cottage but in a great location."

6.0

The location is great- Burton Bradstock is a pretty village and a short walk to a beautiful beach and lovely coastal walks. The enclosed garden was very peaceful and a lovely suntrap, perfect for a morning coffee. The beds were comfortable.

The cottage is very tired and in need of updating. It needs a deep clean and some areas redecorating. There is rust on the bottom of the fridge freezer and several stains on the sofa in the front room. There was a funny damp smell in the porch when we arrived which was off putting and didn't give a good impression. One of the taps in the sink in the upstairs toilet is wobbly and the light switch temperamental. There was garden furniture but it needed a good clean.

"Very enjoyable"

7.0

The location is excellent and great for parking. Only a 2 minute walk to the pubs. Beautiful countryside and the beach only a few minutes drive away. The kitchen is very well stocked although we didn't cook.

The cottage is very tired inside and could do with a refurb. The beds were uncomfortable a d very little hanging space in one room and none in the others. That said its a very old property with lots of character.

"Pleasant stay, great to recharge and relax. Good food in the 2 local pubs but book early. Walks"

8.0

Warm and cozy, well equipped. Loads of books and dvds. Good TV quality and size, good location

not really dislike but could do with more info on things like the local bus service, the 2 pubs do food but you have to book very early (while we were there anyway). The cooker markings have been worn away so a manual showing the original so you can work out the settings would help - It occurs to me that there may be these instructions but they were not in the folder. Bins are confusing - I infer that everything goes in to the blue bin including recycling (I took mine home to recycle). Te bathroom floor gets very wet from the shower (good shower though).

The location was brilliant. The cottage was very clean and comfortable. It was warm and cosy on some chilly April days.

"Very good"

We would like to thank owners & holiday company for sorting out quickly the fact the property wasn't cleaned ready for use by having the cleaners around first thing and offering us some compensation. the property is in a great location for walks and beach and has two good local pubs / restaurants.

as explained the cottage unfortunately hadn't been prepared, but issue was subsequently resolved and we left happy
