"Convenient for an overnight stop."

Good location, comfortable beds, large balcony. Very idosyncratic local decor in the communal areas.

One member of staff seemed rather grumpy. Breakfast was rather plastic and I would have liked a top off for coffee but that was not possible. Property seemed a bit tired overall.

"Fine for a night or two"

Quirky, lots of character. Cheap place to stay. 10 mins walk to the centre

Would not accept card payments. Only cash. Breakfast very limited. 2 bread rolls. Jam. Couple of slices of ham or cheese. Tea or coffee. No other options for food or drink. Rooms very dated. Threadbare towels
