Lady Bird Retreat

The location was amazing, so close to nature and the hut was really cosy.

Everything was lovely.

-Cosy -Nearby to quiet beach -Short drive aways to near by beaches e.g robin hoods bay, whitby and scarborough -Kaskane restaurant a 5 minute walk away lovely food and good vibes -The hot tub was such a highlight, plenty nights sat watching the stars -Wildlife near the tiny home like rabbits, owls -Beautiful views -Private parking -Other huts nearby but still felt really private for us

Lovely location very peaceful with views of the sea. Lots of wildlife. Very relaxing location. The shepherds hut was very clean and very well equipped. Hot tub is a bonus. Highly recommended.

Loved the hut, it was very cute and had everything you needed for a weekend stay. The hottub was the best feature for us. Watching the rabbits all around you was just a lovely bonus. We had a bbq each evening at the hut. You are on a site with others who are glampimg but the lady bird retreat is at the top of the hill, a really good spot and nice and private. I never like going somewhere twice as I like to try new places, however I would return here for sure! We only stayed for 2 nights but you could easily stay for the week if that's what you had planned. Also, I saw a review on another site saying it was a misleading description...ignore that review, it was perfect. Yes slightly ages in areas but nothing bad at all! You don't need things like kitchen roll, toilet roll and cleaning stuff as they've already been provided. May need top ups if staying longer than 2 nights though. If you need to speak to the owner he is extremely helpful and super quick to reply. Contact him directly rather than using Booking.com.

Only a minor and certainly didn't affect the stay at all but would be nice if the bushes could be trimmed to have the sea view as shown on the pics.

Comfy bed, hot tub.

Don't be fooled by the pictures. There is another hut within yards of this one. The cleanliness left a lot to be desired and we went at the start of March, the heating was inadequate.

The hot tub was fab. Location for privacy was very good. Although there are other huts around when you are in the hot tub it's private. It's very quiet. We went when it was cold but it has a log burner and after only a very short time it gets very warm inside. We used 1 large briquette which burned for 90 minutes and that's all we needed all night for the hut to be warm.

Although very clean and comfortable it could do with a little up-dating ie paint work in places
