Mole Cottage

An absolutely idyllic setting with views out over the countryside and the English Channel. It was very peaceful and very comfortably furnished with well equipped kitchen. The cottage was full of slightly quirky animal ornaments and pictures which reflect the owners love of wildlife. She had left an initial supply of dry peanuts to feed the badgers which appeared at dusk each evening at the patio doors from the lounge. We purchased further supplies from the supermarkets in Shanklin to continue the feeds throughout our stay. We were celebrating our Blue Sapphire (65th) wedding anniversary and could not have chosen a better venue.

Parking within the very small drive almost impossible except for perhaps the smallest vehicle. In fact having decided to park outside the property, we did discover in the welcome manual a request from the owners to do exactly that! It is set up on steep hillside with no nearby shops or services ,which is part of the charm, but it does mean that unless you are extremely fit, any visits to buy papers, milk and other supplies involve using your car.
