Bungalows Las Margaritas 10

We were lucky - we were the only ones there! The room was big and clean, with everything we needed. Bathroom was stocked with shampoo/cond, a huge container of fresh drinking water, fridge and kitchen, etc. And the whole property was exactly what we wanted - courtyard with great pool, tables/chairs and umbrellas, hammocks. There was even an old school foosball table. And we LOVED going around the little town and eating food made fresh by the local families. It was a wonderful weekend and would definitely go back!

This is a beautiful property and has enormous potential. The exterior is lovely. Owner very responsive.

My husband is an architect, and I a designer, could purchase this property in a heartbeat. The 1 bedroom we initially booked was in actuality a studio (no wall/privacy between bed and the rest of the space). We thought there were loads of spiders in the shower - turns out it's a vine that creeps through the window. My sister and I didn't shower, haha, until they explained. The shells of the vine were pretty much all over - window coverings, walls, ceilings but not nearly as abundant as in the shower. Jose cleaned them off when he was opening the drain. The couch is used as a bed. Almost everything in Mexico is built-in concrete including the couch. My husband slept on it while my sister and I shared the bed. He said it was comfy. We stayed in that apt 3 nights, then changed to the 2 bedroom which was much more comfortable. Both units could use new paint. Pots and pans in both units need replacing (scratched teflon). There are mini ants, part of Mexico, so keep food in fridge or airtight containers (they like the charming, colorful water dispenser so look before you drink). They provide water and allowed us to use their washer/dryer which we appreciated. The hot tub has to be turned on about 30 minutes prior to use so the water isn't able to get hot, only warm. Also remember that in Mexico, the majority of private pools aren't heated which is understandable, leaving us always disappointed as the water is too cold to get into. The property is secure and safe. Out of 10 stars, we'd give it a 7. Truly, this is a beautiful property ~ if you need a designer to turn it into a 4 or 5 start, I'm happy to help!
