Millburn Apartment

Bathroom is a health hazard, it reeks of cat urine/mildew/mold smell and has no ventilation fan or window to air it out. Photos are misleading and make it look better than it is in real life. The exterior approach area is dirty, trashy and neglected. Inside, the entry hall carpet is grungy and the walls are bleak and stark. "Millburn Square" is a charming name but it's actually right on Millburn Road which is a very noisy and busy road bordering on a freeway. Google maps does not recognize the address and steered us on convoluted path from the bus station. No directions to the apartment were provided and the helpful guest welcome guide book which was promised in the description was not in the apartment. The advertised coffee maker was there but there was no coffee to put in it. There was no soap or shampoo and the shower adjuster had black electrical tape holding it up and could not be moved. The mattress was thin and hard and the bed frame was flimsy and squeaking. Our expectations were based on the rather high price of the rental and we felt swindled.

The outside area of the apartment was very messy. There was no lock on the bathroom door and the exhaust fan was not working. There was not as much space in the apartment as I thought it would be. For these reasons I would like if we got some sort of refund and compensation.

Location was fine - just 10 minute walk into Inverness. Well equipped little kitchen for making a quick breakfast.

Whilst the price was extremely good value, it could definitely have been cleaner with fresher smelling bedding and bathroom.

Lovely apartment I. A quiet little cul-de-sac. Clean, comfortable and relaxing. Very near to all amenities and I highly recommend it.

Great location. Only a short walk into town where you could pick up anything you might need. Flat was spacious, clean and warm with everything you could need. Would definitely stay there again. Pub next door can get quite noisy at night and smokers tend to congregate by the flat. They also dropped large amounts of cigarette butts outside the premises.
