The Sessions Hotel, Bristol, a Tribute Portfolio Hotel

To tell the truth, my stay was short. However, the treatment I received was excellent, I only have to congratulate that entire team, they made me feel very good! ¡Muchas gracias!

Our room was not ready when we came even a few minutes past normal check in time. There was trash on the side walk and when we entered the room none of the lights where on and there was water dripping from the shower in the bathroom

This hotel is full of surprises- a great rooftop bar, interesting music-themed decorative touches in the room, a great BBQ spot on the property, and friendly staff. James was especially kind and helpful when we checked in, wanting to make our stay special. Bristol has a great downtown with music spots, fabulous bakery, and small town charm. We feel like we made a "discovery" on our travel from south to northeast. Will definitely stay here for a day or two next time.

The decor is gorgeous; the bed is pretty but not functional, and you crawl over the front person to get to the back. The bathroom shower, bathrobes, makeup removal wipes, q-tips, and my favorite rugs outside the shower and commode. The record player was fun, with microphones hanging from the ceiling with lights in them.

The hotel is beautiful, but it is an old warehouse/mill refurbished into a hotel, and they spent all their money on the decor instead of insulation of any kind on the floors. I was on the third floor above the Southern BBQ restaurant,t and I could hear everything the people on the fourth floor were saying when they had sex, footsteps back and forth, I assume to the bathroom. I did not sleep because my neighbors did not sleep. You can hear the traffic from State Street but it becomes a background noise that you do not pay attention to until a big truck or motorcycle. We expected traffic noise, but listening to the people above me from 1 am to 3 am, then back up at 7 am, was unpleasant. I paid $235, I went to the lobby and asked for a partial refund, but I was told no because I paid through Booking.com. They did offer food at the BBQ, but I told them no, I was exhausted and unhappy. I also did not like the fragrance in the lobby and hallways which makes its way into your room. I think It is Jasmine, not sure.

Historical value

Rooftop bar was nice but with a little more attention to detail could be so much more.

In an old historic building, the funky music based design is a refreshing change

Great customer service and the facility was clean and welcoming.
