I could not have been more happy with our stay at Rose Garden Guesthouse. The main highlight is the friendliness of the staff and how accommodating they were throughout our stay. The rooms were exactly as advertised if not better and I thoroughly enjoyed the entire week that we stayed there. The rooms were cleaned daily and the facilities were exactly as advertised and all in perfect working condition. Rose Garden Guesthouse is the perfect example of a small business that I believe everyone should support - I could not recommend it more.

My booking was for wrong date somehow. No problem, the friendly staff bent over backwards to assist amidst a busy evening.

We requested a firm mattress and were provided with one that was comfortable and satisfactory. A fan was also available in the room, which was helpful in managing the heat. The check-in process itself was straightforward, however, no information was provided upon arrival. The staff member simply handed us the key and indicated the location of our room. No explanation was given regarding the check-out procedure or any other relevant details.

Check-in is scheduled from 14h00. We arrived shortly before 16h00, yet our room was still being cleaned. One would reasonably expect that, given the stipulated check-in time, the room should have been prepared upon arrival. In addition, we noted several signs displayed across the property stating “no prostitutes allowed.” This created an uncomfortable atmosphere and raised concerns as to why such notices were deemed necessary. Furthermore, the crockery and cutlery provided were in an unsatisfactory condition. Both the cups and glasses had visible marks along the rims, suggesting that they had merely been rinsed rather than properly washed. This indicates that the crockery and cutlery are not thoroughly cleaned after each guest’s departure.

I like that the host listened when i complained about the noise of the other guests. Of my two nights the first night the guests were noisy but when I raised my concerns and issue she addressed the matter and resolved it.
