Hotel alcatraz

Nice palapa courtyard. Good breakfast. Clean.

It’s a good hotel to stay in for a few nights. The room was small but clean. Maria (the host) waited for us until 2am, it was very nice of her to stay up that late. We will definitely stay there again.

Defenitely felt like we had all the comforts of The Infamous Alcatraz. The room we were first assigned upon arrival had the bathrom flooded from a leak on the toilet supply line. There was a big kitchen pan under it that had already overfilled and the floor had about a half inch of water. We were told they were supposed to have fixed earlier that day. The room we were moved to had the same size bed. Reserved and paid for a Queen but the beds are really Double sized (matrimonial). The bed is a 4" mattress on a concrete platform. No hot water in the shower, they said it was because the hotel was full. Toilet roll holder was broken The included WiFi not reachable from the room. Mosquito screen on bathroom window full of holes and room was filled with mosquitos. So we sladdered on replellent that I luckly remenbered had some in my shaving kit. Did not sleep much Won't be going back there It was clean, felt safe, and the included BF was good.

Maria spoke English well. She and her staff were friendly and accommodating.

Nice hotel in Puerto San Carlos. The owners daughter, maria, was very welcoming and helpful during our entire stay. She really knows the area as well as other locations in Baja California. She didn't hesitate to recommend other restaurants and bars in San carlos. Don't hesitate to give her a call if you have other questions. A relative, who works with the hotel, is Danny who can help you with a whale watching reservation.

The staff was amazing. They helped with transportation and even made homemade chicken soup for one of our crew that was under the weather. Lovely family owned and staffed business.

El hotel esta muy bien cuidado y atendido. Llegué en temporada baja y casi no había gente. No hay casi nada que hacer en el pueblo.

Not a lot of choices in this town. Ok for one night

We had dinner and breakfast at the hotel and everything was clean and good.

A queen bed is not a full bed, a king bed is not a queen-size bed. In Mexico, there are only 3 sizes of beds, but there are 4 sizes of beds in the US. Hot water was good and beds were not obnoxiously uncomfortable.
