"Delightful country house hotel at the heart of a small Lakeland community."

Very peaceful & yet quite busy with locals coming in for celebratory meals. Excellent evening meal. Very helpful staff.

The room was a bit too small for us, but had all we needed. Access upstairs & along corridors & through fire doors was a bit awkward, but we had been warned.

"Ok as an overnight stop but not great"

A small but very comfortable room. Friendly staff. Very good restaurant

Some of the decor rather tired/tatty particularly in the bathroom. Toilet cistern leaked and toilet seat too small for the unit. Water pressure in the shower was poor

Quiet village location not far from Penrith and main ‘A’ road. Modest sized and well run hotel.

Room needed a few minor maintenance I.e. curtain hooks missing and robe hook in en suite coming away.
