The most uniquely beautiful place we have ever stayed. The Owner/Host/Manager Nicholas was impeccable in every way.

This property is absolutely beautiful, every corner was just breathtaking. It’s been restored with such care, and the room was somehow historic while having every modern amenity you’d want. It was also a nice big size, and the bathroom was lovely too with a great shower. Nicolas and his team are amazingly kind and helpful. Breakfast was great, and we ate dinner there one night too and it was lovely. We took advantage of the location, driving into town a lot, but also made sure to spend time on the property itself. We did the shorter/easy walk that Nicolas recommended which was really nice. We also loved sitting by the salt water pool and swimming! This place is really special!

We traveled a lot around the world and visited many beautiful hotels and places to stay. This is without a doubt the most beautiful, special and magical accommodation we have stayed at. An ancient and beautiful mansion, full of authentic historical charm, and embedded with rare and antique furniture details. The entire estate is surrounded and full of the charms of nature, rich and abundant vegetation everywhere, outside and inside the quiet estate located at the foot of the mountains, walking paths between olive trees, figs and more, great air and absolute silence. We took a suite which is actually two huge rooms that give the atmosphere of staying in a castle or fortress, with ancient works of art found by the owner during the renovation of the property adorning the walls, including special furniture that looks like items from a museum. There is a quiet restaurant for great lunches and fancy dinners that can be eaten on the balcony with a breathtaking view or in the ancient and impressive inner courtyard. Don't miss the gazpacho and the wonderful croquettes. A very special swimming pool, immersed in a green and blooming meadow, at the foot of the mountains and forests. Nicholas and Marta, the owners, are present all the time, helping and making the stay pleasant with a personal touch and fascinating explanations about the estate. A special place for special people who are looking for an authentic experience of silence, nature, history, comfort and magic

Delightful old property that has been in Nicola’s’ family for a few generations - he and his wife Marta have developed and enhanced such a magical environment - the pool is magnificent - a good length for good exercise and its salt water not smelly chlorine! The setting is just memorable.

If I were to find fault, the bed was very firm

Our second stay at Son Grua and it’s become one of our most favourite places to spend some time. Nicolas, Marta, Fernando and all the team are very welcoming and just lovely hosts. The property itself is uniquely beautiful and very carefully renovated. The setting, surrounded by the mountains and forest is something special. Food was superb! We like to be away from the crowds but you can still easily get into town by car/taxi for a change of scene. Bike friendly too - there is now a bike room and it’s a good base location for lots of nice routes.

Beautiful property, pool and gardens, very peaceful and quiet, ideal place to relax and unwind. Great location if you’re interested in hiking or cycling.
