Hotel Los Frailes, Valladolid, Yucatán

This hotel is the perfect example of style over substance. The hotel itself was absolutely beautiful, the room was lovely, the pool was great, and the parking options were convenient — but unfortunately that's where all the positives end.

The customer service was genuinely horrific. Imagine arriving on your birthday, asking politely to check in just two hours early at 1pm, only to be told the previous guests "hadn't left yet" despite checkout supposedly being at 12. It immediately felt disorganised and dismissive. What made it worse was being asked beforehand if we were celebrating a special occasion, only for absolutely nothing to be acknowledged or accommodated. Every other hotel we stayed at made an effort for birthdays - this one somehow managed to make it feel like an inconvenience instead. We weren't even allowed simple things like parking access or Wi-Fi while waiting or to take in our bags, despite receiving messages that to not worry if you would arrive early they will accommodate and telling them you have no signal in the city so you just need some help. So instead we were basically left stranded in 40-degree heat with no communication, no help, and no information. Even the "included breakfast" was never properly explained, meaning we couldn't even make use of it. Beautiful hotel, terrible hospitality. Sadly, good looks can't make up for customer service that makes guests feel completely unwelcome. I wouldn’t never come back even if they paid me and I wouldn’t not recommend it. There were far better hotels in the center with a better location, staff and price.

L'hôtel est très beau, typique du Mexique. La piscine est très bien.

Le petit déjeuner est noté inclus mais c'est uniquement le basique (jus d'orange, café et oeufs), si vous voulez plus il faut payer (comme partout au Mexique c'est navrant). L'hôtel est un peu éloigné du centre, nous avons dû prendre la voiture pour éviter de marcher sous la chaleur.

El desayuno que dan de cortesía es mínimo.

el lugar es muy vistoso por fuera y por dentro, cuenta con una alberca de buena tamaño y una fuente que le da un toque especial, a un costado el jardin de buena proporción. Puedes ordenar del bar si lo deseas para estar bebiendo en la alberca, le agregaría unos camastros, aunque no hay mucho espacio, debes esperar a que el sol baje para que no te abrume el sol. el restaurante está en una terraza con 4 árboles lo que le dan un toque muy particular. el estacionamiento es de muy buen tamaño, su recepción muy amplia. me tocó la habitación 1 a un lado del bar por lo que escuchaba un poco los ruidos por la mañana, la vista hacia el jardin y la alberca muy agradable, el wifi no lo sentí muy veloz. pero definitivamente regresaré.

El desayuno estaba incluido, pero para poder llevarlo a las excursiones tenías que pagar 150 pesos por persona, esto es, volver a pagar el servicio, lo que además no sé especifica en ninguna parte. Reclamamos y ni siquiera nos respondieron. Además llegamos cansados del viaje y no disponian de habitación de cortesía, nos dejaron utilizar la piscina exclusivamente porque lo pedimos. En la información del hotel afirma que tiene servicio de bar, no es así, cuando llegamos al hotel no había nada para tomar y mucho menos para picar.
