Great location for us, great for a short stay though the ceilings are very low and imposing

Even though i am short couldn't walk around the bed stood up right!

The apartement was very clean and comfortable, simple but with everything we needed. The kitchen was well equipped with fridge, freezer, hob, oven and dishwasher.

The WiFi was not great.

Convenient location. Good for a short stay. Good facilities. Excellent host. Parking pass supplied.

Some items in kitchen needed a bit of extra cleaning.

Very nice and modern, the host stayed downstairs so they were in hand if you had any issues :)

It was a little bit of a squeeze as the height of the ceilings was low as it was a loft l, so being taller made it difficult in the shower and in the bedroom

The apartment was very well equipped, cosy and well positioned for both Portsmouth and Southsea. Lovely decor throughout the apartment, we particularly liked the pictures in the lounge. We enjoyed reading through the local books that were provided, too.

The sloping ceilings took a little of getting used to. Getting in was difficult to begin with but with practise, we got there.

Property was very clean, nice and brightly decorated in a quiet, residential road. We purposely booked this accommodation as we were moving our son down to Portsmouth who was renting a house on the same road. It was within walking distance of shops, bars and places to eat, although we did use a few Ubers to go to the likes of Gun-wharf Quays which was a little further away. We did have a steady walk to southsea marina which took us about 30 mins. The instructions I was given to enter the property beforehand were perfect, although I was a bit thick and had to call Magdalene for assistance - but she helped me get in straight away 😌. She also brought extra towels round a few hours later that I rang to request - and then later I found spares in the seats around the table - which I hadn’t looked for - but didn’t know were there to be fair. There was a well equipped kitchen (which we didn’t really use) and a great fridge freezer (spotless). The fans in the living room and bedroom were a godsend as it was s very hot weekend and I don’t think I’d have been able to sleep without them.

The initial set of stairs that you go up are a bit grubby and damp smelling, but as soon as you go through the actual door to the apartment it’s a different story altogether, the decor changes and is lovely. Although I did already read on past reviews about the sloped ceilings in the bathroom and bedroom being an issue with banging heads and having to stoop over etc (it is a lift conversion after all) - I must admit it was a bit of a nightmare walking around the bed and trying to use the shower, but we managed. I think that this issue is reflected in the price of the property - which was very reasonable to us (3 people for 3 nights £369 at beginning of September). As I mentioned earlier, the tower fans provided were a godsend - as the property was so hot at the end of the day and through the night.

We stayed here to go to Victorious festival so was at least 30-40 min walk, obviously no fault to the host, just for future guests
