B&B Hoeve Westdijk

It was one of most picturesque places we've ever stayed. The host was very friendly and hospitable and treated us like we're family. It was truly a fairytale place to stay in.

beautiful setting ~wonderful stay · Everything about Hoeve Westdijk was above and beyond expectations! From the comfy beds to the breakfast feast in the morning~ it was a blessing and a wonderful memory made, as part of our holiday ! The canal view and the gorgeous gardens were the topping ! Conchita gave us great information on Brugge* where to park, places to eat, scenic places to find and enjoy ! We were so close to Brugge with its many wonderful sites but far enough away for peace and tranquility at the end of a busy day♥️Many thanks Conchita !! Stayed in July 2019

This B&B made our trip to Brugge so special! The B&B is situated just outside of Brugge about 15 mins on bikes along a beautiful canal with a cycle path. We had the blue room and we couldn't have asked for more, it looked out over the canal and the style of the room was lovely. In addition it had a mini bar, two armchairs, TV and it had its own bathroom with a bath. But the most exceptional part of the B&B was the breakfast by far, we stayed for four nights and we looked forward to it every morning and miss it now! Ron and Cochita were great hosts and very friendly. So if you want to go to Brugge you have to go here!

We were staying with Conchita and Ron to have a nice weekend in Brugges, after a warm welcome we loaned the bikes from them and cycled into the city centre. After a couple of great belgium beers at Le Trappiste Brugge and nice diner at Bistro 't Zwart huis (recommended by Conchita) we went back and in the morning we found 2 bottles of water on our night stand. Now that's taken care of your guests! Breakfast was full and well surved. Room was very clean and well organised we had our own bathroom and our privacy. We will come back for sure with friends and have a barbeque or nice walk into the forest right beside the Hoeve. Thanks again Conchita and Ron.

We were 2 couples staying for 3 nights at this B&B. Linda (covering for Concetta while on holidays) welcomed us. The rooms were both comfortable, shared shower & toilet, but this wasn't a problem. There is a toilet downstairs to use as well as one upstairs. In a quiet location outside of Brugge centre, where we could enjoy watching the canal boats drive past. We drove our car into Brugge each day, which was a short & easy drive. Breakfast was amazing, with a great feast of breads, meats, cheese, yoghurt, tea, coffee, cooked eggs & bacon, fruits..enough to keep us going til around 3pm each day! We had dinner one night at the local grill house which was very nice, and only a short walk away. The town of Oostkamp also has lots of places to shop and eat, which we only discovered as we were leaving. The only downside is not being able to make tea/coffee in your room or the kitchen, and there's no communal lounge, so if you're with friends it's a little hard to relax together in a lounge. There's a beautiful garden to relax in, but only when the sun is out, or in the summertime. And, if you like an ensuite, there isn't one inside the rooms in the house (there would be one in the room that's next to the barn, which looks nice), but the bathroom is next to the rooms, and wasn't a problem for us.

We just spent a week in Ron & Соnchita's warm and cozy house, as well as Christmas Eve and day! It was wonderful. The house is neat, very comfortable, the rooms are beautifully adorned and designed. Lack of bathrooms inside the rooms is the only downer - but if one takes the whole upstairs, like we did for our family of 5, it's not an issue at all. The house is located in such a way that it's surrounded by water on two sides, and the views from the windows in all the bathrooms are great and very romantic - the channel, barges floating by, a drawbridge... The water is so close you could fish out of the window! The living room where the breakfast is served, and other home cooked meals if you like, is very cozy, full of great furniture and trinkets, with a relaxing fireplace and comfy sofa and chairs in front of it. Ron and Conchita are wonderful people, and I think we came as guests and parted as friends. We are very happy we stayed there, it's such a breath of fresh air after all the hotels, even the best ones, and the area has so much to be explored! Bruges is 10 minutes away and gorgeous, Beach resort Knocke must be fun in summer, and the Dutch village of Sluis, all within 30 mins drive, is a total gem, with great shopping and restaurants! Overall, 5 out of 5 for a wonderful, warm, romantic and tasty experience - also, a great value for the money! We had the whole wonderful house for a week, with breakfasts and daily room servicing, to ourselves, with Ron and Conchita coming to help when needed and staying in the fantastic garden apartment they have, separately from the main house, and all for the price of two nights for two rooms in a nice hotel!

We absolutely enjoyed our stay at Hoeve Westdijk. We were looking for a place to stay which combined these 3 things; Relaxation, City Life & Beach oppurtunities. Hoeve Westdijk combines these perfectly! Good rooms incl bathroom, very hospitable hosts and perfect food and breakfast. This B&B is on 15 min bike ride from Brugge city centre. This gives the perfect opportunity to enjoy the peace and quiet of the landscape and the turbulent city life of Brugge. On the other side, you can easily visit all Belgium beach places by car in only half an hour drive. So if you are looking for a place to stay near Brugge, this B&B is perfect! We will be coming back shortly :)
