Hotel Villa Emitta

It was one of the best breakfast we've had, a lot of options on local food and the Christmas cookies was the best! Hotel staffs from check in, room boy, restaurant were helpful and always smile. Room, bathroom and toilet are clean. Water runs fine for wash dishes and shower. Free drink water is so good. Plenty of parking spots and hotel is accessible from the city central.

The tiles at the car drop off entrance was slippery.

I got food poisoning, we didn't ate anywhere else..

After we moved to another room it was okay.. the first room as very noisy..

Pool was very cold. Bathrooms were not very clean (ie bugs and hair in shower and bathroom on arrival)

The hotel is really well maintained, the rooms are clean, big, the bathroom is spacious and well equipped. The swimming pool is very nice, the food in the restaurant offers a pleasant variety, both for breakfast (big buffet with great local dishes) and evening a'la carte menu.

The staff is very polite and friendly but have limited knowledge about the surrounding - they can hardly recommend any nearby highlights or day trips and you have to ask for a driver specifically, once you establish what you want to do (do your own research). I think this could be improved (as well as the communication in English), as the hotel is a bit isolated. Our trip suggestions: Day 1: Mah'Watu (small waterfall and sulferic mini lake, morning coffee spot)-> Lake Linow (beaufitul lake with a breathtaking view) -> Bukit Kasih Kanonang (small hike around the sulfer hill, amazing views) -> Danau Tondano viewpoint and a scenic drive around the lake -> Benteng Moraya (historic place) ->Tuur Ma'asering (Captikus destillery and jungle bar) Day 2: Karapi rafting (8km long, with a stop at a waterfall you can swim in), mount Lokon (hike to the active volcano crater with stunning views all along the way).
