So Good Haad Rin Hostel

The location is beautiful. Amazing view from the hostel. good food, not overpriced, facilities are good. people are vv good. very comfortable and relaxing

The hostel location is bit weird. No taxis want to go because of the bad road. also up on the hills so carrying bags tough. If you have small bag then it won’t be a problem.

Noise from Haad Rin clubs echoed across the bay for 4 nights straight until the early hours of the morning.

The location is amazing. It’s right on the beach. The view from the restaurant is perfect. The beds were very comfortable, the sheets white, and the towels fluffy. Good hot water in the showers :)

Sometimes taxis will not take you all the way and you have to walk the last bit on the beach.

The only positive aspect of my stay was the kindness of some employees. I had a sincere conversation with a staff member from Myanmar who was very friendly and genuine. Another staff member also helped me move my luggage at the end of my stay, which I appreciated.

The hotel lacks basic services: no laundry service, no scooter rental, and no bottled water available. When I arrived, it was raining heavily, and my suitcase was soaked. One of the staff members threw it directly onto my bed, which shocked me. The cleanliness was terrible: the floor was sticky, full of dust and sand, to the point that I had to force myself to take a shower or brush my teeth. This was one of the dirtiest hotels I have ever stayed in. Paying over 15 euros for such poor hygiene is unacceptable, even during peak season. There was no atmosphere at all—nobody talked to each other, making the experience even more disappointing. Finally, I was surprised by the attitude of many locals in this part of the island. They seemed indifferent, unfriendly, and solely focused on getting money from tourists. I understand that some travelers can be demanding, but that does not justify such a lack of respect and hospitality. Oh yes also: all the scooter bars laundry service everything is super far from the hotel it's really tiring to walk 30 min back and forth just to wash your clothes. I don't understand why this establishment is so well rated it's a shame.
