B&B Cianciana

It’s located in a minute’s walk from Catainia’s main train station, so, was easy to catch up both on trains & busses, the Alibus bus stop to the airport & AST bus stops to Etna & the airport were all in front of the railway station. I was happy as the owner of the B&B’s Danilo was very supportive & helpful.

Muy buena atención de Danilo, buenas recomendaciones y ante un problema ajeno a su establecimiento, un apagón en la zona, nos facilitó la entrada a la habitación a deshoras. No es céntrico, pero en 10 minutos andando llegas a la Piazza del Duomo.

We have been greeted very warmly by Danilo - the property owner, who provided us with a lot of useful information about the facilities in the area and also recommended places to visit in Catania. The apartment is located very conveniently, close to bus and train stations, short walk to the city centre and many restaurants and mini markets available around. The area is calm and feel safe after dark. The room was very spacious with interesting ceiling paintings and very good AC and fridge that were truly needed as it was very hot outside. The bathroom was spacious and extremely clean, the shower was very powerful. Danilo was such nice host, he even offered us morning coffee and was always making sure that we had everything we needed.

There is a picture of a kitchen on the Booking.com that might suggest that there is an access to the kitchen facilities. There is no access to such facilities and it would probably be better to take that picture off the website. It would be also nice to have some glasses or cups available in the room to be able to drink from whether for cold or hot drinks. Danilo mentioned that these are available on demand but we did not want to disturb him everytime we wanted to prepare a hot or cold drink There is a kettle available but it is not in the room itself and it is shareable with other apartments.

We had an amazing stay in Cianciana. Danilo was a fantastic host who welcomed us warmly and shared the best tips for exploring Catania. We can’t wait to come back :)
