Quinta da Soneca

We would like to thank for the wonderful welcome. From the first minute we felt very comfortable. Your professionalism and the sensitive way you respond to your guests are truly remarkable. Every moment here was characterised by warmth and a sense of appreciation. It's nice to see how much effort you put into your work. We are already looking forward to our next visit and to experiencing your hospitality again.

It was lovely to stay at Quinta da Soneca, to relax, rest and enjoy the swimming pool. Nuno and Teresa are amazing hosts who made us feel at home. Very special attention to extra treats, like a lemonade, aperitivo or fruit. We met Gill the sweetest and cleverest donkey in the world and played with the dogs which was wonderful <3 We loved our stay.

The hosts were very friendly and welcoming. You really feel at home there and they treat you like family. The house is beautiful, cozy and very well decorated. Pool is amazing. Breakfast had good local products. If you love dogs, you are going to love this place.

Everything! The peace and quiet, the family feeling (hosts Teresa and Nuno are just fantastic!), the beautiful cozy room & house, the amazing pool, surrounding nature and super breakfast. Truly a gem for a restful time!

I don't usually rate hotels and lodgings, I expect them to be good and don't feel they need my two cents to promote them. Quinta da Soneca exceeded my expectations in nearly every way. The property was beautiful and spotlessless. It had amazing views a stupendous pool area and wonderful comfort all around. It was comfortable in the bedroom, by the pool and by the general areas of living room and dining area. Theresa and Nuno were exceptional hosts. They fell over themselves offering us wine and yummy treats every day we were there. I joked with them that I was unaware they were running an "all inclusive resort". They were insulted if I brought my own bottle of wine!. And, they spent time chatting with us and that made us feel welcome and helped us learn about Portuguese culture and daily life. And, the best part: their dogs Djambe a senior Ridgeback, mellow as could be; Cjulwinga a young Weimaraner who was sweet and engaging and Bisca a mini daschsaund who was cuddly and adorable were the highlight of our stay (and believe me there were many highlights). Finally, I would be remiss to ignore Gil, the donkey who came running when you went to say hello and rub her head. Too sweet, it made my day. I could go on and on. Just know if you pick the place you will be doing yourself a favor. There are many small interesting and fun village within 15-25 minutes driving. It means you can mix a bit of exploring with a bit of relaxing in one day. Do not let this opportunity pass you by. I went here with a friend (we each had a separate room) and both thought it was the best place ever.

Nothing. It was as perfect a place to stay as I've experienced, and I've had plenty!

We stayed in the quinta for 3 wonderful nights. The quinta was beautiful with a wonderful view. The room was clean and comfortable. Wonderfulbreakfast. NUNO and his wife did anything that we would feel comfortable and pampered us so much. The quinta is biking friendly and has acquirement for bicycles. I recommend this placewithallmyheart.

We liked everything

This is a wonderful place - truly exceptional host in Nuno and so quiet and peaceful. You just unwind! It’s also 2 mins from Alandroal so you can easily go for a good meal. I will be back!

- The hosts were absolutely wonderful and very caring. I can't thank them enough for how well they treated me. - Location is beautiful between cork oaks and olive trees. Very peaceful. - The room was lovely with private patio. - Nice bathroom with walk in shower. - Wonderful breakfast - Very comfortable beds. Slept like a log.

- I would have liked a table or a desk in my room. Now, if I wanted to use my laptop, I had to sit in the breakfast room. It made me feel like I was imposing on the hosts. - Electric sockets in odd places, to charge my various devices and batteries. - An extremely uncomfortable lounge chair in my room and where should the second person sit? - As there is no bar or restaurant on the premises, I would have appreciated coffee and tea making facilities in my room and perhaps a fridge to keep some milk and snacks. - Luckily I was allowed to park my car by the entrance, because I really wouldn't have liked the long slog to the official parking spots, especially if you are lugging stuff or in the dark.

This place is a little peaceful paradise in Alentejo with extraordinary hosts. Everything was perfect. The relaxing and beautiful landscape, the morning breakfast, the wine by the pool admiring the sunset. I will definitely comeback again.

I wish I could have stayed longer.
