HOSTAL SAN FRANCISCO

Location was amazing, right near the port and the town. Hot water was good and bed was comfy. There was a shop underneath which was helpful and it had a lovely view of sunrise.

There was no where to top up water and the staff do not speak English so not great if you need help booking anything. It was hard to find if you follow Google maps but locals are really helpful!

There was no breakfast included in our stay. We have booked 2 separate rooms , but when we arrive - we have gotten only one room for two separate families..., which was not right. Staff does not speak any English and it is impossible to communicate with them - they all speak only Spanish.

Location

It was by far the worst choice. First of all, the host was overly rude. She was always grumpy, and she never smiled. When you asked her for the simplest thing, like a towel, she made faces. It was like she was forced to host you in her place. The place was EXTREMELY noisy. The air conditioning unit was so loud like it was in my room. The hosts and the cleaners started making noises from 6 a.m. without respecting their clients who were sleeping, which resulted in waking up by six every morning and could not sleep more. The highlight was that my check-out was at 10 a.m., and they wanted to kick me out by 9 a.m. Finally, there was no internet connection at all. I was staying there for three days, and I could not connect to the wifi even when I was at the front desk. The one and only good thing was the central location, but I would prefer to walk 10 minutes daily and be treated with respect. The least you can do when I am here to give you my money is to respect me.

We stayed in Hostal San Francisco as we had one night in San Cristobal before heading home. This property met our expectations and was great value for money. Check in was very easy and the staff were very nice. It's got a great sea view as it's located right on the main strip of San Cristobal. Shower was nice and warm and the bed was comfy.

Very clean, friendly staff and on the sea front. Great location.

The pressure of the water was poor and the water did not get warm. On the weekends, the noise from the street was loud but we did stay in the room at the front of the hostel
