Gannabos Guest House

Our stay was nothing short of incredible. One of the highlights was a mouthwatering dinner prepared by Erik and shared with four strangers, which turned into a night we’ll never forget. The atmosphere, the conversations, and the overall experience were simply magical. Erik is a Gem.

We loved everything!

Location was perfect as a stop over for our long drive down to the coast. Our host was amazing, he made sure we had all the correct directions prior to our arrival and was exceptionally welcoming when we arrived..

Super hospitable in a lovely area. The Xmas day meal was great and we were spoiled with a magnificent electric storm!

Nothing - it served its purpose as a way-station far more than was expected.

Our stay at Gannabos was amazing! From the host to the food to the stars - we loved our stay and we will probably be back. Eric, the host, is welcoming and so enjoyable to be around. He also ensures that his guests are happy, and full and always have a drink in hand. The food... oh my goodness... the food. We were served a variety of different meals for breakfast which were delicious. We also opted for dinners here, and the dinners were traditional farm food that made us want to go back for seconds every time - hearty and delicious! The farm is situated in an isolated place, a wonderful location to stargaze and relax away from the noise of the city - just what we needed. The rooms are well kept and equipped, with a fully functioning aircon and a bath and shower. We also went on a game drive, which was a lovely touch to our stay. We loved every minute of our stay and highly recommend this wonderful gem of a place.

The whole place is like a scene from a Karoo picture book. Dinner, a real home made lamb stew, and the hearty breakfast smacked of Karoo charm too. Erik is a warm and welcoming host. Look out for the albino Springbok and other interesting game.

Room 2 lacked a bit of privacy. Perfect for a family or group with adjoining rooms.

As always delicious

We felt instantly at home from the moment we arrived. Erik's warm hospitality made us feel welcome and at ease. The food was outstanding - absolutely delicious! And the views of the farm were simply breathtaking.

Beautiful venue, brilliant to see stars at night. Comfortable accommodation. Staff are very friendly and welcoming. Special chocolates on beds as a treat.

Nothing specific. I will book a bigger room next time so that we have 2 bathrooms for a family of four.
