Homey Hostel, Ipoh Town

Great hostel in a good location. Very clean. Owner is very helpful and friendly. Beds are comfy!

Cheap and Homey style, but

Not so clean, my mattress looks too old with holes, bathroom a bit smelly with outside air plus how it is next to main road Just know you'll be sharing your space with other people , for me it's three bed in one room Got three bathroom and the one I got in dont have any shampoo or soap They dont even give towel or maybe its because i didnt ask..

I needed somewhere at short notice because I'd booked the wrong date for a different place, so found this and was able to get a taxi there and check in straight away. Once I had booked I received check in information almost immediately and the process was very easy. It seemed well looked after and clean.

It was expensive for a room without a bathroom - other places I've stayed in Malaysia with a private bathroom have cost the same. The pillows were probably the least comfortable I've ever experienced - rock hard. The only lighting in the room is a very harsh strip light.

The location was great! Near lots of good restaurants.

It was less personal. You don't meet the host but if you don't mind that it shouldn't be a problem. We stayed for one night in the private room and it was perfect for us.

Good central location. Comfortable enough for a short stay.

The room was ok, but the hostel was small and lacked any space to relax outside your room so it all felt a bit claustrophobic. Some of the other guests sharing the facilities seemed to be more long term and it felt a bit like we were encroaching on their home. A bit uncomfortable, particularly for my wife as they were all male.
