Modern 2-Bed Apartment in Central Madrid

Breakfast is not included, but the location is convenient and you can walk to the main clocking-in area

The worst part of my stay was that we couldn't find the door to the apartment because we arrived at night and the number wasn't clear. We searched around for nearly an hour and called the landlord in Spanish, communication is not convenient. Therefore, it is suggested that the picture of the apartment gate or the surrounding reference marks are more convenient for the residents to arrive.

Location and amenities but one bathroom didn’t have a handle

The host was extremely rude! We were lost and couldn’t find the location he was telling on the phone and threatening to cancel the apartment. We did not understand Spanish and he was very arrogant

The apartment was clean and comfortable. Location was great right across the street from Mercado de San Miguel and a quick walk to many tourist sites. Would definitely stay here again.

Very well designed immaculate apartment with quality furniture, kitchen and well thought off storage in the bedrooms and bathroom. There’s a lift so it’s easy to get your luggage up. Charming little balcony overlooking the mercado with restaurants galore nearby. You can walk everywhere and are across the street from Plaza Mayor and 5 min away from the Palacio Real. Mini supermarket just outside the door is handy for breakfast supplies.

Need to sleep with the windows closed otherwise can be noisy with deliveries in the morning. That’s no issue as there’s double glazing and air conditioning so you can sleep well.

Positive: nice and responsive staff, apartment was very clean, beds were comfortable, good shower and of course great location, really in the middle of the city. Unfortunately there were also bad sides (above all heating not working ans bit noisy)

Big drawback: the heating was not working when we arrived. It was a very cold week. They offered to come and repair it but to be honest, if I pay 400 eur per night I expect that everything is working! Poor maintenance. Poor Value for money: It is not a luxury apt, just a normal and overpriced apt, you pay way too much only for the location. We also had to wait for the staff to come for the check in, because the guy had 2 check ins at the same time. Bad organisation. The guy was very friendly, I want to point out it was not his personal fault. Apt was also a bit noisy, the windows were not really keeping the noise from outside. If you are sensitive you could have a problem in sleeping. My opinion: not 400 eur per night worth and some improvements needed.

Location is 10/10. We were with two couples and it’s perfect you each have a bedroom & private bathroom. Space was clean and it’s perfect for a few nights to explore the city

The location is superb. It is across a street from Plaza Mayor and overlooks the Mercado de San Miguel, and about 5 min walk from Puerta de Sol. Very close to lots of restaurants and tapas bars. The apartment is clean and comfortable and with the french doors open, one can view the buzz of the city. There is a small grocery store a few doors away which is convenient. There is some noise from the street at night, but the double glazed windows block most of it. We had earplugs too.

Location is very central. Calle Mayor is very busy and very noisy. But the window doors kept all of the noise out. Excellent noise cancellation. Apt is very clean and functional. An agent met us in the apt to hand over the physical keys and show how everything worked in the apt. Very walkable to most of the attractions and shopping.

Being on a very busy street means keeping the windows closed and air conditioning on all the time. I do not like A/C at night. But had no choice. This is not the property's issue. It's my personal preference. The bathroom had only one tissue roll (was not a full one but maybe left over from last tenant?). Only one hand towel for two people. Seems like it is so in all apartments we rented in Spain. An extra towel would be great. The espresso maker had only 4 coffee pods for the three of us for 4 days?! The elevator is extremely small. So be mindful of traveling with a lot of luggage. All in all it was a good stay in Madrid.
