Resort Cordial Santa Agueda & Perchel Beach Club

The Santa Águeda Resort is actually great and would easily deserve five stars - however there are issues with the beach club. First of all, though it is advertised together, these are separate entities. While you get access to the beach club - this depends not only on availability but is limited to weekdays that are not holidays. Also while the beach club in itself is great and the staff try their best there are some issues there with clear communication and reception. It should be noted that the restaurants except for the breakfast buffet are all inside the beach club too and If the beach club is full you’re a bit out of luck there. All of that is sad because otherwise the Resort is great - though the nearby cement plant can be a bit of a downturned. I’d come here again but would advise they straighten out the beach club situation soon.

A very lovely place. Staff are very helpful and friendly. Sadly only the Perchel main restaurant was open during our stay but the food and service were excellent. The apartments are very well equiped and the Spar on site is immaculate. Only problem was lack of hooks for towels and robes in the bathroom. Also the first floor walkway should have a 'no football' sign as our last 2 mornings were disturbed by children playing loudly outside our apartment

The Resort image shows the wonderful pool at Perchel Beach Club. Unfortunately, this is only free to guests Monday - Friday and there is an excessive charge on Saturdays and Sundays. It only opens at 11am and there are generally queues to get in. We queued for 30 minutes, only to find there were no beds left. If you are fortunate to get in, the water is freezing and the 'lifeguard' does not allow toys, balls or inflatables (fun in general). We stayed in a Deluxe apartment and although the concept was nice, the fixtures and fittings were tired and worn. The front door does not open close properly and has worn the floor at the entrance. The shower door was hanging off. The apartment was dirty and dusty. During our 7 day stay, the cleaner never once mopped or cleaned the apartment. They made the beds every day, but that was all. Surrounding area is also somewhere to be cautious. A large concrete plant to one side and a banana picking Shanty town on the other. Just look at Google Maps.

Die Anlage war top, da gibt es nichts zu meckern! Allerdings ist es definitiv kein Familienhotel, es gibt nur eine kleine Poolanlage für alle Hotelgäste und dann noch den "Beachclub" (so der große Pool genannt, hat nix mit Strand zutuen) wo wir zwar aufgrund eines Gutscheins freien Eintritt hatten, aber Anscheinend bei einigem Tarifen extra bezahlt werden muss. Desweiteren herrschten schärfere Regeln als in jedem Bootcamp, der Bademeister war ständig nur dabei mit seiner Trillerpfeife die Gäste zurechtzuweisen. Auch das der beworbene Kinderwasserspielplatz sich abseits hinter den Gebäute befindet und es da auch keine Liege o. Sitzmöglichkeiten gibt, ist alles andere als Familienfreundlich! Desweiteren hatten drei der fünf Restaurants nur am Wochenende geöffnet. Aber ein absolutes No-Go für ein Fünf Sterne Hotel war, das keine Amex Zahlung möglich war. Bei Preisen die fast in fünfstellige gehen, setzte ich das voraus.

The accommodation was perfect and the Perchel beach club was amazing. There was daily house cleaning service which was great. Staff were very helpful and courteous. I had asked for 2 hour delay in checkout on the day of departure as our flight was in the evening. However, this was not communicated to me in time despite making contact twice which was the only minor hiccup in otherwise a perfect stay. I will definitely recommend this place.

Vi reste med vår dotters familj och deras lilla tjej på 7 månader. Hade en lägenhet "classic-delen" med ett mycket välutrustat kök. Allt man behövde för att fixa frukost och middag fanns.Två våningar med två toaletter. Perfekt för två kompispar eller generationsboende. Nära upp till centrum där mycket välsorterade butiker fanns. Även liten butik på hotellområdet som hade "det nödvändigaste" Helt klart värt att återkomma till!

Schön gestaltete Anlage, großes Freizeitangebot, sehr freundliches Personal. Leider stört das benachbarte Betonwerk durch seine Geräuschentwicklung auch am Wochenende den Eindruck. Auch optisch ein Makel. Sonst aber empfehlenswert.
