NIPPONIA Kosuge Village

The place is a restored 150 year old building converted to house 4 rooms. Beautiful old wooden structure, nicely appointed to modern comfort standards. It is a quiet small village with dense forrest around. Staff is very friendly and does everything to help you out with answering questions. Dinner and breakfast were beautiful with local and seasonal produce. If you enjoy the blend of modern and traditional in a quiet mountain area, this is your place.

Not much space in the bathroom to put stuff down. But that's 'complaining' on a high level.

小菅村を理解した上で泊まること。 周辺施設は数軒のみ。17時頃には閉店。 施設は築約150年の古民家を改造しているため、 天井や柱が低く頭をぶつけやすい。 夏は特に虫も出やすい。 だが、スタッフの方や村の方たちがでの 一生懸命サービスを提供して頂けて大満足。 また行きたい。

Nice and relaxing experience. Everything was in it’s place. Delicious dinner and breakfast, cute and responsive hosts.

Beautifully designed house, the attention to detail, the extremely caring staff, they were always super nice and trying to go above and beyond for us. Very considerate and kind people.

Our bedroom/living room did not have windows, there were only windows in the hallway, so it was very dark in the room you slept and had your breakfast. I should have seen this on the pictures, but I didn’t, so be aware when you look at the rooms you book. The nature around the rooms is so beautiful, so I would definitely recommend to get a room with a large window/view into the beautiful garden.

Beautifully renovated ooya, super large and comfortable rooms, the most delicious dinners I’ve had so far on this trip. The sincerity and graciousness of the staff and locals in showing us around their village.

Perhaps slightly larger servings of food for breakfast.
