Route 19 Inn

My husband and I love traveling off the beaten path and often choose smaller, locally owned motels over large hotel chains. Route 19 Inn is truly a hidden gem. The owners have done an incredible job remodeling this property while preserving its nostalgic retro charm. Every detail reflects the pride and care they’ve put into creating a unique experience. Staying here feels like stepping back in time—in the best possible way. The grounds are beautiful, with mature trees, peaceful outdoor spaces, and a lovely stream running alongside the property. During our stay, we were fortunate enough to listen to a group of friends playing music in the poolside gazebo, which only added to the welcoming and memorable atmosphere. There are several inviting gathering areas throughout the property, complete with fire pits and grills, making it easy to relax and enjoy the surroundings. While the motel embraces its retro roots, it still checks the boxes that matter most to us: spotless accommodations, comfortable beds, and a great shower. If you’re looking for a cookie-cutter hotel packed with every modern amenity, this may not be your place. But if you’re looking for character, charm, hospitality, and an experience you’ll remember long after you’ve left, Route 19 Inn is an absolute must-stay. We would gladly return.

Beautiful property in the mountains along the creek with all the right touches and its own unique charm. The owners were very personable and helpful with things to do in the area. Excellent location for driving the Blue Ridge Parkway & Smoky Mountain National Park. Also, very close to two beautiful waterfalls, Soco & Mingo Falls. There is a lot of little shops, a big flea market, motorcycle museum and dining close to the area. At the end of the day, there is a nice clean pool to relax in after a long day's adventure. We will definitely stay here again if we are back in this area.

The room and bed were a little smaller but next time we will upgrade to the rooms that are along the creek. They are bigger and have a beautiful view.

Very cute and clean.

Was old, which appeared dirty, but wasn’t. Some people might like the old charm which we did however it could use some updating outlets and paint the bathroom. Maybe paint the whole room to feel fresher.

The location and waking up to the creek sounds every day.

Awesome theme, like a step back in time

The retro style and peacefulness. The facility is set back of the road with a creek separating the road and the facility. Very nice location and quiet.
