Hillview Motel

Great big room for families. Kitchenette and utensils were great to have in the room. Clean and tidy. Great yard with chickens which the kids loved. Lovely homely feel to the place. Small business run by wonderful, friendly people. Will definitely stay here again.

An older style motel, comfortable for one night. First time I’ve ever had to pay a surcharge on my card.

Clean room. Friendly, helpful management. Good Aircon / heater. No liquid soap, shampoo or tissues in the room. Property looked old; and some parts appeared to be in need of renovation. Just a short drive to IGA and bottle shop.

Very little traffic noise, great spacious room with excellent blackout blinds, friendly and obliging staff, larger fridge and full sized round table and four chairs. These all contributed to a very enjoyable stay in Charters Towers.

It was great and above expectations in every way except one: Wotif had not communicated our booking reservation with the Motel. Staff apologised and explained that our experience was not unusual. We arrived early and had we been later, there might not have been a vacancy. Wotif had sent us an email saying there was no need to check with the motel. We'll be double checking everything from now on.
