Shiga Biwa Lake Shanshui House

Booked the tiny villa with 2 rooms, 1 bath and 1 toilets. Spacious for a family with one young child. The Omi Nakasho train station is 2 minutes walk from the place. JR train will take you straight to Kyoto/Osaka. Host (Wen) is a darling. She picked us up from Hakodateyama Ski Resort when we missed the last bus. She then took us to get something from the supermarket near Omi Imazu train station. Thank you so much! We cycled to Lake Biwa (5min bike ride) in the morning. Lovely morning ride! Would visit again.

Really cool owner, and the property is fantastic.

Surrounding enviroment was good and quite as it is located at rural area. Owner was good in english and chinese which is foreigner friendly. It also very near to Omi Nakasho Station. Just 2 mins walk which very good for travelling around lake biwa.

No convenient store nearby.

Very big and spacious facility. It’s also very close to the train station with a big free parking lot.

We had some small bugs in our room. (It doesn’t bother me so much) but it’s good to know for other guests. The facility is also pretty cold outside of the rooms.

The hotel is located in a very rural part of Shiga prefecture. But it was a perfect stop for me on my cycling trip around lake Biwa.

It is really remote, the closest restaurant that was open was quite far away and the same goes for the closest convenience store.

The room was clean and comfortable, and we had a good time. The hosts were particularly nice and helpful!

The host was nice. Everything was clean. Towels and some amenities were provided. The house is big and there are places to chill. The kitchen is very well equipped if you want to make your own food, just make sure to buy things before you get to the accommodation. There is no convenience stores or supermarkets around.

It's an old Japanese house. So you have to be mindful of the noise level.
