"Proper country pub which ticks every box"

9.0

Wonderful pub in the middle of the Cotswolds. Safe parking, nice restaurant, outdoor breakfast, and a comfortable and quaint room. Bar and wait staff were lovely. Not a lot to complain about.

We happened to arrive during the hottest May on record, and having an upstairs room made for uncomfortable sleeping, with only a small fan to keep us cool. Certainly not their fault, but something for Summer guests to be aware of.

"The village is lovely and peaceful."

The food was excellent and the staff so friendly and accommodating.

Be sure to pre-book a cab if arriving by train.

"Comfortable accommodation, reasonable food, expensive for level comfort, v poor breakfast service."

7.0

A nice welcome. The staff for the evening supper were delightful and helpful.

Breakfast was a disaster. It took more than half an hour to get our main course from the time of ordering. It would seem the waitress forgot about us even though we were the only table being served indoors. There were other guests eating outside, but we were not given the option. No provision of face flannels Poor bathroom lighting

"Gorgeous pub, with friendly staff . Would request a different room next time tho ."

9.0

Really friendly staff, fab breakfast. Comfy bed and really quiet room . Great location in the village. A gem of a find and lovely walk to Daylesford .

We weren’t fans of having the bath the the bedroom , and it was difficult to shower in the bath without water going everywhere! Not clear on booking.com that the bath and washbasins in room 6 are in the bedroom.

"Feels over priced when compared to other similar stays, even in the Cotswolds."

6.0

The Plough is in a beautiful location, the village of Kingsley is very pretty and well situated for local hot spots and walks. We walked to Daylesford which was close by. The bed was so comfy and the location is so peaceful we slept really well. Breakfast was delicious. The staff were so lovely and cannot fault the hospitality.

The accommodation feels tired and jaded and needs a spruce up. The towels and robes are a little discoloured. There is a burn mark on the window in the room we were in. The bathroom floor/bath etc is very tired and needs a spruce up for sure. The cups in the room were so tiny. Ideal for an espresso but not your morning tea/coffee. The basis is there but needs a spruce up for sure.

"Good but room for improvement"

8.0

Gorgeous food in the pub in the evening. Lovely ambience. Rooms were well appointed, nice large bathroom great shower.

The rooms were a little too tired looking for the price. Mattress wasn't great or comfortable and we wouldn't usually complain. There was a bit of a drain smell after use of our shower. Great place to stay if a few small details are sorted out.

"Nice pub, but overpriced"

8.0

This pub is in a beautiful village and our room was nicely finished. The bathroom was a good size. We didn’t eat there, so can’t comment on the food.

Our room (4) was not really soundproofed from the room across the corridor. We could every word of the conversation coming from there late into the night. Not much the pub can do in such an old building, but worth noting. A nice pub, but overpriced.
