Abode Pittsburgh - Downtown Convention Center

Property was nice. Beautiful historical building. Actual apartment was okay

No hot water in first unit I checked in to. Second room had a blind ripped down , filthy windows, and a bug in the coffe pot

Room was clean, easy to get around town.

The location was central to downtown - just 1 mile from the strip or a $10 uber ride but you could easily walk as its very safe. It is 2 blocks from the convention center and just across the bridge from the stadiums. Its a cool spot and despite the photos, this is a true 1 bedroom and a separate living area with pull out couch. The couch was comfortable enough to sleep on and it was nice to have a kitchen and laundry. I had an issue with the coffee pot and a new one was delivered and set up the next day. Getting in and out once established was also easy. Its a very modern looking place and the TV worked great and they had enough dishes and pots and pans for our weekend stay. They also provided all detergents and toiletries which I greatly appreciated. The main bedroom is nice and dark for a good night sleep but the main area gets a good amount of light, again not an issue for us but something to note. Overall a very nice location, nice enough room and kitchen/laundry, friendly town and safe area led to a nice stay. Its overpriced because of all of the fees, wish I knew I could book direct.

The check in process with the photo id and them having to wait until the last minute to give us door code was more than frustrating. I called the evening before and had to wait an hour to finally get someone to talk to me. That process has to be cleaned up. The apt was clearly lived in over and over again as an airbnb or rental because little things were not up to par - chipped paint, foam on baseboards to cover previous leaks, Couch needed a good clean, etc. The kitchen was the star - clean and everything in working order. I wish they provided a sponge to do dishes. Also just a freshen up of the blankets for the pull out couch would be welcome. If you're sensitive to noise the train comes by every few hours - never bothered us though.

Konstigt läge i tråkigt område, utsikt mot parkeringshus och godståg. Bara nyhetskanaler på tv, annars betalstreaming. Takdusch i badkar. Ingen personal. Långt till butiker.

Building is beautiful and walkable to everything in downtown Pittsburgh, including the Stadium. It was nice to watch a wedding in the lobby. Wedding ended at 10:30pm, so noise was not an issue at all. Loved that it was an apartment, so I could sleep late in the bedroom while my husband could make coffee in the kitchen and watch the news in the living room without waking me. Also, owner had all we needed, including towels, linens, coffee, sugar, etc.... Bed was comfy, too.

We didn't realize that the building is right next to the train station. A freight train went through at 5am and the train noise lasted for a good 15 minutes. Felt like I was in My Cousin Vinny movie. It made for a good story, though.
