A bit of a tricky arrival along a narrow bumpy road, especially at night, but well worth it. What a surprise. This place is amazing. The architecture, the views, the manicured grounds, the food, the staff and service. Was fabulous.

Camellia Hills is the most beautiful, tranquil and stunning property. The views will stay with us for a very long time. Nestled in amongst the tea plantations . But more than the views it was the staff who made our stay SO Special! Particular mention to Savindu and Dinuka who made our stay so special. The personal service, remembering how we liked our coffee /drinks etc. They were warm and friendly, but discreet at the same time. Always greeted us with a warm smile. No request was too small. I am realising that travelling around this beautiful country that it is less about the hotel buildings (which are spectacular) , but the warmth and friendliness of the staff is what makes our stay memorable. Upal also greeted us with warmth. Special details are a free trip to tea factory and free laundry service , which was much appreciated. Thank you Camellia Hills & staff. We will definitely return.

The property itself is well maintained, boutique and the service beyond excellent! Unfortunately we went there during the cyclone, so weren’t able to enjoy the facilities or the town at all. It was raining heavily, and the staff took their utmost care of entertaining us and making sure we were comfortable. They constantly checked and updated us, and placed our safety first. The food, service and tea were exceptional. Highly recommend

The trains weren’t working so we had a long drive to get to the location. The roads up aren’t the best but we made it eventually!

Fantastic stay at this beautiful property in the middle of the tea plantations. Fantastic food and drink included as part of the all inclusive package - one of the chef's also did a cookery class with us which was fantastic. Very peaceful surroundings with plenty of places to sit and admire the view.

It is quite a long/windy journey from Hatton to the property but worth it for the peaceful setting. The team could have been more proactive/quicker with the drinks service in the day but in reality, it doesn't really matter when you're in such a fantastic setting.

The property is beautifully furnished, with only 5 rooms it often feels like you have the place to yourself. Our room looked out onto the lake which was breathtaking to wake up to. The pool also overlooks the lake surrounded by nature. All the staff were so friendly and no request too small. The meals were delicious and high quality we had a complimentary private cooking class with the chef for dinner one night. Cannot recommend this place enough. It is very off the beaten path, but worth it nestled in the middle of the tea plantations. Wish we had stayed longer.

Nothing about the property only comment was with having more information on a walk we did. There were 3 routes from the property we went for the longest route, were provided with a phone to guide us but half way round discovered the route was unwalkable and had to retrace our steps. Would have been useful to be advised this had not been walked recently.

Wonderful staff, beautiful location, very restful, great food

This was a fantastic place to unwind. A vast array of activities in the surrounding nature or a SriLankan cooking lesson which we found was amazingly interesting and tasty!!! A truly luxurious boutique hotel with wonderful staff. The roads in are interesting and we were glad of the SUV we had hired. Over 4 hour drive from Colombo which was indeed stunning. We loved this place.

This was one of the best hotels we've ever been to. The staff truly made us feel like we're at home with their attentiveness and support. The view is stunning, the place is super quiet and relaxing.

A wider variety of the breakfast/lunch/menu would have made the place just perfect.

Great and authentic location with stunning views across the tea plantation and reservoir. Service was exceptional and felt very personalised. Special mention to Savindhu, Upul and Manoj. Food very good, everything was fresh and tasty.
