Uneventful stay

Good location; no bed bugs; inexpensive. But out unit had stained/dirty sheets and towels. Fights occurred amongst neighbors in nearby units. Someone knocked on our door at 3 or 4am, several times. This made us feel unsafe. Consequently I will not recommend this motel.

I have lived in hotels world wide for the past ten years and this hotel is in the top three of filth and disgust. I was concerned for my health and safety my whole stay. I would normally move but I was working 14 hour days and with the commute, I didn't have the energy. I am enclosing photos of the horrible conditions of this flop house. 1. The stench of the room could not be eliminated, it smelled of mold, rot , and fungus. 2. After my shower in the tub that leaked on the floor, I walked to the bed 7 steps away and my feet were filthy. I cleaned them off with a towel bed side and took a photograph of the towel attached. 3.Black mold in bath. 4. Roaches 5. POOP Really Poop on the mattress cover, never removed or cleaned. 6. Non-working fire alarms, just the shell, no guts, (I can only say in my room #114) 7. Wiring all over the place, this is for the internet and my be low voltage or data only, not sure. but should be looked at. I believe that some of these violations are criminal and should be investigated. 8. I hope you love trains. They come by at all hours about 200 feet from the property with a crossing right there. Enjoy that whistle! 9. The front desk person only understands the vary basic of English, do not use full sentences or questions because they wont be understood. 10. If you try calling them, most of the time it goes unanswered,if it is answered, it will be by the gal that doesn't speak English well. Refer to #9. 11. They use Booking.com and do not issue refunds, and you must pay in advance, not at checkout. 12. Microwave was covered in old food and grease and didn't work. Burnt on one side, frozen on the other since the turntable didn't turn

I tried to book at one of the chains but they were booked solid due to the hurricane. I booked a Knights Inn via booking.Com and left a request that I'd be arriving late and despite that they cancelled my reservation. After calling 14 different places and finding they were all booked, I started on a 100 mile journey west to the closest Fairfield Inn. Before leaving town I sorted the Executive Inn with lights on in the office so I figured to take one last shot. I'm very grateful that not only did they have a good clean room, they had a very good price. They are in the process of upgrading but everything in the room was good. A great mattress too. A microwave and fridge in the room that I didn't use and a nice cool AC unit. 5 stars because it exceeded my expectations in many ways. I'm very happy I got to stay here.

Being that this motel is old, it's not in that bad of shape. The overall appearance was okay. Clean parking lot. The price was okay. Sr citizen discount. The room was okay. Clean. Bed is comfortable. Furniture was in good shape and no cigarette burn marks. Microwave and mini-fridge. Large flat-screen tv fastened to the wall. Very strong wifi signal. There were a few tiles missing off the wall behind the toilet. Guest laundry. No breakfast provided. Church's Chicken two blocks away. First motel close top the downtown area.
