GBClear information from hosts before arrival and in the house, making appliances very easy to use. Great location, a short walk from the centre on a quiet road with off-street parking. House was clean, comfortable and relaxing to be in with a pleasant small garden. Very good lighting in all rooms so that we could see to read books (rather than screens). Shower is easy to use. WC on ground floor as a bonus. Lots of interesting and attractive places within a short drive or bus/train journey.
Stairs are steep and quite narrow but we knew this in advance and they were manageable.

DEGBA very deceptive property which you can't properly appreciate until you are in it. Pretty much everything was of a really good standard. The bedrooms were spacious and the beds were comfortable. Toilets on the ground floor and first floor was very convenient. The bathroom and shower were excellent. Kitchen was well equipped with utensils, crockery etc. and having a dishwasher is always a good thing when you don't want to spend time away stood at a sink.
A couple of minor things, which haven't impacted on the rating. A TRV on one of the bedroom radiators was not working, but the landing radiator compensated for that. The smoke alarm went off whenever we had toast, even when we put it on the hob with the hood extractor on. Reassuring to know it was working though.
