Cannot recommend this place highly enough. Every single thing was perfect. The host Maria was a lovely person. Nothing was to much trouble

The host and her lovely dog! Very friendly, helpful, but not intrusive. The room was simply and tastefully decorated and felt spacious and calm. It was nice to have the little entry hallway rather than entering straight into the bedroom, this gave privacy and somewhere to keep case and shoes. Shower room was spacious and the shower was very good, and all immaculately clean. In the bedsitting room, basics for breakfast were provided (cereals, milk, tea and coffee) and would have been adequate; however we supplemented these with food from the village community shop, which is full of local treats. It was great to have the little fridge and the toaster. Only table cutlery is provided, we had brought our own knife to cut cheese, tomatoes etc. The pretty garden is delightful addition to the space, having plenty of seating options. We had fine weather so we were able to prep breakfast and sandwiches outside, and eat outside.It's a very peaceful rural area. Last but not least, we appreciated the owner's initiatives to provide carbon-neutral accomodation.

We had great weather so it wasn't a problem; but if it had been rainy, the little table and chairs inside would have made brekfast and eating somewhat cramped. However a larger table would make the room feel cramped all the time, so on balance the host has got it right. Perhaps a small folding table which could be hung on the wall or kept in the hall when not in use, would be a useful addition. Be prepared for some rural smells (cattle farming area), which we rather liked!

Maria left us cereal for breakfast. Muesli (which lasted two days out of three we stayed) Cornflakes and Bran Flakes. She also left us some milk and coffee. There was a kettle, Toaster and a fridge with a small freezer section. We liked the shower until the last day when the water was cold in the evening :-( Excellent location on the edge of the Blackdown Hills with a great pub 2 minute walk away which served great food. The area is great for walking!

The toilet seat was loose but worked okay. The bed was comfortable but the curtains were too thin. The light shone thru from about 5am which woke us up early in the morning. She needs to put black out curtains in the room.

Maria, the host, was very nice and helpful during my stay. Nothing was too much trouble. The room was very comfortable for me as a solar traveller. There was a private entrance around the back to my room, plus a good size shower room. I sat out in the garden for a while after I was there. Really lovely spot in a peaceful village.

Beautiful home, lovely host. Private room with separate entrance and lovely shower room. Maria went out of her way to accommodate us with a very unusual requirement, cannot thank her enough.

That we weren't staying longer!

This stay is a Gem, lovely friendly welcome, beautiful spotlessly clean accomodation, really comfy bed, fabulous shower, very relaxing lovely gardens, close to the local amenities, had a lovely meal in the local pub within walking distance very friendly neighbourhood. Will definitely book to stay again.
