The Layar Homestay

Good location close to beach, restaurants and grocery store. Comfortable room and the owner was super sweet and spoke good English which made communication smooth.

This place is really nice for so cheap! The decoration when you enter the room is beautiful, they make so much efforts in putting little flowers everywhere:). It’s clean, very comfortable, the mosquito net is handy and there’s great storage. It’s so close to a lot of good and cheap beachfront cafes/restaurants! Small drive (~10min) from the harbours for boat tours too. But far from the famous beaches though. The owner is really quick to answer on What’s app and replied to all my questions about scooter rental, private driver, locations etc. There’s a small kitchenette with fridge, stove and water. The dog on the property is so friendly and always greeted us:)

Keep in mind that there is a few mosquitoes, which is not the owner’s fault! The room is a little bit small but it did not bother us! The hot water in the shower would only last for 5-10 minutes. I would maybe recommend a bigger mirror😊. Other than that it was perfect, we enjoyed our stay!

Super friendly host and good location where you can walk to some of the beachfront cafes. Small kitchen with drinking water, kettle, fridge and stove available.

There are quite big gaps in the doors/ceiling allowing mosquitos and animals to get into the room (luckily there is a mosquito net).

We recently had the pleasure of staying at The Layar Homestay, and I can confidently say it was one of the most delightful experiences I've ever had! Nestled close to Buyuk & Toya Pakeh Harbour, this charming homestay combines comfort, warmth, and stunning coastal views to create an unforgettable getaway. The staff was very helpful and polite. He helped us plan our Nusa Penida trip and arranged for driver. The rooms are clean and very aesthetic. Close to many restaurants and warungs. Highly recommend this homestay, if you visit Nusa Penida.
