We loooved our stay here. So calm and peaceful, we slept super soundly! The only neighbours are the (friendly) sheep. Impeccably clean, really good amenities. We loved that we were able to do laundry on site! Beautifully decorated with lilac-coloured walls and local touches of Harris tweed and a range of Highland Soap Company toiletries. David was a very attentive host, always quick to answer our questions.

The bed was a bit small but I mean, it’s a cabin — so of course it’s a ‘tiny house’ size.

The host was very welcoming and met me on arrival to provide information about the cabin and local area. The cabin itself was compact however very nicely decorated, clean and comfortable with good amenities. Good shower and fresh towels provided. All pots/cutlery etc provided. There were even delicious home bakes on arrival which was a thoughtful touch. There were 2 cabins with plenty of parking space and the hosts not far. The location was beautiful, a great view. Quiet and peaceful, only sounds of the sheep chomping the grass, birds and very rarely any traffic. Very close to local sight-seeing such as the Callanish standing stones and Gearrannan Blackhouse Village.

It was beautiful little cabin with a great view. It was clean and had everything we needed for our short stay. The property owners were great at communicating with us and welcoming us for our stay. Our son loved being able to watch the sheep from the cabin. The location is near the Calanais Standing stones. I highly recommend.

I loved my time here, I wish I could have stayed longer! It was easy to navigate from the port, but the owner was very kind and gave me descriptive instructions on how to get there. He also greeted me at the cabin to hand over the keys and gave me tips on local attractions. It’s less than a five minute drive from the Callanish Stones, though if you want a grocery store or to go to a restaurant it’s a good 20-30 drive back to Stornoway. Overall, this was a perfect solo retreat spot.
