Guest Lodge

This place was horrible.

This place likes to rip people off. I had a room booked and when I showed up they had given my room to another person. Outside of building looks bad and inside it is very dirty. Manager is very rude and said he does not care if you booked online and paid for room, its not his problem. Do not book here!!!!

We drove 5 hrs. My reservation was confirmed had confirmation number. At first the lady says she can't find us we have no reservations. I show her the my reservation and she finds me. She then proceeded to tell me that I canceled our reservation. Which I know I never did hello holding confirmation of room in my hand no cancellations emails and they took the money from my account which means I paid for it too! The other lady that was there she spoke up and said hey that's what you told me. The front desk lady then tells her oh no I have a room for you now. She refused to give us a refund after driving for 5 hrs just for her to cancel our paid in full room. I will never stay there again. Idk what alot of people use for travel but if I book a room I get confirmation email saying booked. If I cancel it I get a email that says I canceled it. The only email I had was the one confirming I had a room.

Didn't like the room it was unacceptable. The front desk receptionist was very odd.

Checked into 3 rooms, all were unclean and gross

I was in Minot for a Lions Convention, and only needed an inexpensive clean room for two nights. I had stayed there for the last convention, before Covid, and the owner was in the process of fixing it up. When I checked in, the clerk said the log showed I had already checked in earlier. I was told if there was anything wrong with the room, they would take care of it. The room looked as someone had just checked out of it. I went back to the front desk and they gave me an apology, a different room, and an upgrade. The new room was fine and clean. There were no bath towels or washcloths, but they brought them up right away. The Hotel is suffering the same problems as many businesses, lack of employees. They have to split their staff between two locations. I don't hold that against them. The place has no extra amenities and because of that it was the cheapest place to stay, and only a block away from the convention hotel, which was over twice the price. It was fine for what I needed, and I would stay there again.

Well I didn’t stay at the Guest Lodge, I was there at 3 pm to check in and nobody showed up, Expedia even tried getting in contact and still nobody. At around 11 pm someone had called me from the guest lodge to see if I was going to check in I had let the man know on the phone that Expedia stepped in and got me another room. I would like my refund from the Guest Lodge, as I never got service there. It only seems right. I’m very displeased with the way The Guest Lodge handles there business and customers. Id Hope in the future no other customers have to go through this.

There was no toilet paper in my room, the sheets didn’t look clean as there were brown spots, and there were bed bugs

They had no staff, and it was dirty. I made the beds and cleaned the room myself. This place should be condemned.
