Courtyard by Marriott Cartersville

Very nice accommodating stat

Check in was easy, room was clean, quiet (I was in one of the rooms closest to the elevator and was fine sounds wise) and comfortable. I have seen some other reviews regarding dips in the mattress. My mattress appeared new but I also felt a dip so maybe the foundation underneath is the issue. Nothing major. I was able to sleep just fine.

If you need peace and quiet, this may not be your place. First, there was a frequent rumbling noise which we assume is the elevator going up and down. It’s loud enough to wake you up. Second, you will hear every door closing, even the door latch clicking. Third, the road noise from outside is unreal. Inside, the room has a modern design and excellent furnishings. All looked great until we noticed one thing: the grout lines on the bathroom room floor were dark brown to black. At first we thought they were that color at install until we looked under the counter and behind the toilet where people don’t walk and saw white grout. It’s hard to know if these floors get cleaned or not but that grout definitely has not. These are things that have us staying at AirBnB’s more often now and less at hotels.

Everything was great except the manager. I believe his name was Jason. He went beyond rude to downright hateful. He is very unpleasant and unprofessional.

I have stayed at this Marriott Courtyard the past two summers to attend a baseball tournament and have been very happy with our stay. It’s a newer hotel , very clean, very friendly and helpful staff. It’s about 10 mins to the lake point sports complex and about 10 mins to downtown historic Cartersville which has some great places to eat. If we are ever in Cartersville again we will definitly stay here.

I’ve travelled here for work more times than I can count, practically lived here for 4 months. I’ve stayed at both Marriott properties and Courtyard is worth the stay. The building is new and in great condition but the staff is amazing. Jason’s the best and recently the management staff left me some treats and lotto tickets thanking me for my loyalty. Little things go a long way and they go the extra mile for their guests. They’ve not only treated me well but several of my employees and coworkers that have made the trip to Cartersville.
