Mango Tree House

The kindest, most wonderful family run this lovely guest house. They truly made our stay so special, with home cooked Sri Lankan food for dinner and two fantastic safaris arranged for us. We'd stay again in a heartbeat thanks to their fantastic hospitality :) beds also very comfortable with spacious rooms and lovely outdoor shower!

The owner was so lovely, and really went above and beyond to make sure we had an exceptional stay. We had a delicious home cooked Sri Lankan meal for dinner. The room is simple, clean, and exactly what is needed for a short stay / safari visit.

Was a little far from the park, but this didn’t matter as the only time we left the hotel was to do the safari (kindly organised by the owner).

Mango Tree House è una struttura semplice e pulita, a conduzione familiare, in cui si respira una bella energia. Il proprietario ci ha aiutato in tutto, e dopo il safari ci ha permesso di fare la colazione (super abbondante) dopo l’orario previsto. Seppur il posto è piccolino, è super accogliente.

Beautiful setting close to Udawalawa national park. 5 or 6 cabins on the well maintained site. The open roof bathroom and waterfall shower was a favourite of ours. We opted for the buffet dinner which was incredible. The arrival of the hosts pet Labrador was a bonus too.

Die Gastgeber sind unglaublich herzlich und zuvorkommend. Wir haben uns sehr willkommen gefühlt. Bei der Ankunft gab es einen heißen Tee und ein Stück Kuchen. Unser Haus hatte alles, was wir für unseren Aufenthalt brauchten. Das Badezimmer ist zur Hälfte unter freiem Himmel, aber privat. Uns hat das sehr gut gefallen. Wir sind für eine Nacht geblieben und hatten am nächsten Tag sehr früh eine safari geplant. Wir konnten unsere Koffer bis zur Rückkehr dort lassen und durften als wir mittags zurück kamen sogar die Dusche nochmal benutzen. Das Essen war hervorragend, morgens sowie abends. Wir würden auf jeden Fall wiederkommen und können das Mango tree House nur empfehlen.

Great location close to Uda Walawe NP. Family run business which deserves to succeed. Love the outdoor shower which still retains privacy.

Could do with some duvets on the beds.
