good location, nice view from balcony...we had wonderful time..

We keep coming back, so they must be doing something right. The block above Olas Altas, with funicular connecting us to the excitement of the Romantic Zone, is the perfect location. The condos in 179 themselves are nicely appointed, and we’ve cooked a couple of meals in well-equipped kitchen. Very comfy bed, and our cleaner Jovita was great! We love Chic’s pool lounge on the roof, with special shout-outs this trip to servers Diana and Valentín. The only drawback was that day passes are now given, and made the experience less special. Jennifer and Ramón made check-in and a late check-out a breeze. We’ll be back, Pinnacle!

From the comfortable bed and fluffy 6 pillows, to incredible views, perfect housekeeping services and the super friendly staff— we will never forget our time at the Chic. We have never been so relaxed and we can’t thank the staff enough. Gracias Delmy for finding my headphones ear piece, just when I lost hope of finding it!

Very nice and clean room! Thank you Jovita for great cleaning service! Nice proximity to the beach and the pool is absolutely beautiful! Diana and Valentin were servers at the bar. So sweet and polite! The front desk staff were fabulous and so welcoming. Ramon from the bell staff was so helpful!

Great location and wonderful view.

We loved this place and definitely plan to return. Our orientation upon checking in was thorough and welcoming. The hotel is located within walking distance to all kinds of great restaurants and the ocean, but the area around the hotel is nice and quiet (except for a fun and loud Sunday afternoon tea dance at a nearby rooftop -- not a problem at all.) The layout of our room was great. The partial ocean view from the balcony was exactly that -- we were able to look out at the water and enjoy the view, but it was not an "ocean front" view. It was what I expected and was quite lovely. The bed and linens were great, and it was nice to have chilled, double-filtered water directly from the refrigerator, safe and tasty for drinking. The furnishings were comfy, and housekeeping was reliable and unobtrusive. Also, what a treat to have a washer and dryer right in the room. We definitely took advantage of that! The rooftop infinity pool was truly fantastic. What a view! We spent a lot of time by the pool. Our only very minor negative was the poolside bar -- the service was wonderful (friendly and efficient), but the drinks were disappointing. The margaritas didn't taste of lime and the lemon-drop martini didn't really taste of lemon. The house wines were only OK. If the wine and cocktails lived up to the amazing setting, it would elevate this already-great poolside experience to the next level. This was a wonderful find; it will be our go-to place in PV from now on!

We came to love the quiet of this location and the close access to many wonderful things. The pros: -Cold a/c -Rooftop pool and view that is unbeatable -Comfy beds -Full kitchen -Washer/Dryer in your room -Very quiet at night The cons: -Our room was street level/lobby level-this meant we could hear the front desk/security people (music-conversations-etc). It was also across from the office where people buy condos and so it was like we were in all of their meetings (if we were in our room during the day). The manager did ask for both the office folks and the security people to be quiet, but that only lasted 1 day. We just accepted it and it did quiet down at night. If you get booked into PB1 or PB2, prepare for this. -Strange check in process. Very hurried and anxious feeling. Especially when you’ve just arrived and haven’t been to PV before. They want you sign everything “just like your passport” and will ask you to sign again if it doesn’t match. This did not happen at our 2nd lodging place. -You have to wear a permanent wrist band. This marks you as a tourist and it doesn’t come off until you leave. -The drinks on the rooftop bar seem weak. But, the view is unmatched!

This was a wonderful find, and will now be our go-to hotel in Puerto Vallarta!
