Alojamento Bela Vista

Very nice. Kitchen equipment was pretty good.

The breakfast was just some food in the fridge. We missed sugar and ketchup. No fresh bread.

Clean, nice view, friendly staff

Extremely welcoming, service-minded staff (owners managing there own place); nice room with own balcony and sea and mountain view; decent room size; fabulous breakfast; quality answers to every question, advice from the tourist's perspective, sometimes driven by the business interests of the other services the place offers, but never inappropriate or even intruding; located right in the middle of where the action in more and more buzzling Lajes is.

Nothing poor. Except perhaps, none of the address and coordinate indications on Booking match the actual place of the property. The geo-coordinates point to a Spar grocery, where some maps have Bela Vista (OpenStreetMap, Magic Earth, ...). Those same maps have 'Belle Vita' where the place actually is. Google Maps has it right, though. A bit hard to find when you use your own/rental car and offline maps. Avenida Marginal is the place of their whale watching operation, not the hotel.

I loved the location, view and the breakfast. The owners and the staff were very accommodating!

Staying at Lajes de Pico for some days was perfect. The hosts are very helpful with questions about the island and activities and make sure your stay is excellent. They helped me with finding a guide for the climb at mount pico and booked the whale spotting for me. Also a huge plus was the view over the mountain.
