The staff was friendly and nice The room is clean

You could hear everything people said in other rooms. Every noise. A lot of talking during the night. The shower head is dirty. But the bathroom is clean.

Das Hotel und das Zimmer roch muffig. Es war kein Schimmel zu sehen, aber der Geruch hängt im Gemäuer. Badezimmer im Hotel hat keine Heizung! Das ist im Winter doch wohl zu kalt!! Zimmer mit Aussicht : Mülltonnen direkt vorm Fenter im Erdgeschoß.

Kamer in het souterrain waar de wifi zeer matig en gewoon ontvangst slecht was, kamernummer niet aangegeven en veel beschadigingen.

It is hard to see the positives through the negatives. As described, the rooms were soundproof enough.

Many of the listing amenities were not present and those that were present were mostly broken. The fridge was mouldy when we arrived, the beds that were listed in the suite were not arranged as described, the sofabeds were just a sofa, the seating area was a crammed little table with 3 chairs around it. Bathroom did not have a lock. Wall socket was falling out of the wall, ceiling light had a live wire coming from it (with no cap). All in all we were not happy. With all issues presented to the hotel manager, any solutions needed to come from me, and they were only a few to make our stay survivable. One of the (many) missing listed amenities was a coffee maker. The least the manager could have done was offer us use of the breakfast coffeemaker. But instead he kept shaking his head when presented with the facts and saying that it was not right on booking.com. Which is obvious, but that did not help us. All in all it took me 2 days on the phone with booking.com, to get nothing resolved and only a tiny restitution compared to the massive issues. And after that we kept finding even more and more issues. I am glad the convention took my mind off of the hotel, but getting back to it was stressful, instead of a place to recover.

Very comfortable location, not so far from the Oberhausen Hbf (Train station). Delicious breakfast and kind personnel.

Hotel was closed wen we arrived. No staff over night and staff came with 40 min delay on the morning and breakfast started not 7:30 but 8:15.
