Element by Marriott Atlanta Buckhead

Great hotel. Stay here mostly when we visit Atlanta. Comfortable and clean rooms, excellent staff, good breakfast and convenient location.

Nice and quiet especially when working odd hours. Great breakfast. Clean rooms and facilities. Great staff, always courteous.

This is a great hotel. My room was clean, the front desk was cheerful & welcoming, and breakfast was decent, even if they didn't always have flatware available. It's a nice location, too, easy walking distance to several nice restaurants & even an ice cream shop. The workout room was great if you wanted to do weights - in addition to the usual hand weights, there were three weight machines (shoulder press, lat pulldown, leg press) as well as a cable machine & miscellaneous toys - kettlebells, medicine balls, etc. It was less great for cardio. There were no spin-type bikes & no rower. There were two physical therapy-type bikes, and a couple each ellipticals & treadmills. So if I like this place so much, why isn't it getting 5 stars? Mainly because of the setup of the HVAC (a/c/heat system). There is a tremendous amount of traffic (sounded like drag racing...) on Piedmont & half the rooms, including mine, face Piedmont. Turning on the HVAC fan helps a lot with the street noise, but the fan blows right onto the bed. It's like trying to sleep in a tornado. I piled up pillows around my head & more or less blocked the wind, but it was tough sleeping like that. And a more minor complaint - when I crawled under the kitchen sink to turn on the cold water (no clue as to why it was off), I noticed that there was a filtration system. Atlanta water tastes horrible this time of year, due, I was told, to moldy leaves in the water system. So it would've been really nice to have a filter. There were zero instructions as to how to turn it on, but one of the cheerful front desk people said I should turn it until the small point on the knob was facing right. I did that, but the filter apparently doesn't work, as the water was still undrinkable. I went to the Publix down the street & bought a gallon of drinking water, which, unlike wind in my face while trying to sleep, was a pretty easy fix to the problem. All in all, this was a lovely hotel, but oh man, it would be GREAT if the HVAC louvers could be adjusted so that they didn't pour a river of air straight onto the bed.

Hotel is located in a busy area, with a lot of shopping and restaurants. The hotel staff was always welcoming and accommodating when engaged.

We truly enjoyed our experience and the hospitality, shown by the Element team! Joseph, Deja, RJ, and the entire team went above and beyond to ensure a seamless experience for our daughter and her friends!

The Element Buckhead was very conveniently located to shopping, dining and entertainment. Very clean and modern. There was an included breakfast but we did not attend as it ended at 9:30 and check out was not until 12 so we slept in. I gave it 4 stars instead of 5 because they were stingy with towels, the hotel was a little noisy and the wait was long to get out parking ticket validated. We will stay here again when we are in the area.

I enjoyed the hotel. The breakfast was actually quite good for a free Hotel breakfast. I enjoyed having the tea at night and the complimentary cocktails right after work were lovely. The staff is very kind and well knowledgeable about the area. Walking distance to some very good restaurants.
